Country artist Jet Jurgensmeyer will release his new holiday single “Santa Drives A Chevrolet” on Nov. 13. The song, written by Jurgensmeyer, Vern Brown and Sam Hayes, was recorded at Mount Willis Studio and produced by John Willis and Jurgensmeyer.

According to the announcement, the track draws on the idea of a working-class father serving as a stand-in for Santa Claus, built around the image of a dad driving a Chevrolet instead of a sleigh. Jurgensmeyer said the concept grew out of conversations with his co-writers about childhood Christmases and parents who work hard to make the holidays special for their kids.

The release follows a string of recent singles from Jurgensmeyer, including “Nothing On You,” which the artist’s camp says has reached 800,000 streams and is currently being worked at radio, and “Drink Alone,” a duet with The Voice alum Kayleigh Clark that has surpassed 700,000 streams, per the announcement. Earlier this year his song “RED” topped one million streams worldwide, according to the release. Jurgensmeyer, also known for acting roles including a recurring part on Fox’s Last Man Standing, released his sophomore album THE RIDE: phase 2 in 2024.
