GasLab, a generative AI music platform founded by techno DJ and producer Reinier Zonneveld, has raised approximately $1 million in pre-seed funding, according to the announcement. Investors in the round include Bitpanda co-founder Eric Demuth and WeTransfer founder Bas Beerens, along with other European entrepreneurs.

The platform is designed to let artists and labels opt into having their music used to train an AI model, with a system the company calls the Digital Notary that logs which catalogue contributed to each AI-generated track, on both master and publishing levels. GasLab says each track carries a permanent ID and watermark, and that attributed artists receive an economic right to generated tracks, with revenue from subscriptions or releases shared with contributing rights holders.

Zonneveld, ranked 21 in DJ Mag’s 2026 global top 100 and founder of the Filth on Acid label, co-founded the company with longtime collaborator Cas Luuring and former VC partner and Uber executive Thijs Emondts. The pair have worked on machine learning for the past eight years, including development of an AI model trained on Zonneveld’s own catalogue. GasLab is opening a guest list for private testing ahead of a public launch, and Zonneveld is set to speak at Amsterdam Dance Event later this month.
