The Tom Petty Estate and UMe have released a music video for a newly extended and remixed version of “Fooled Again (I Don’t Like It),” timed to what would have been Petty’s 76th birthday. Directed by Alan Bibby, who also made the “Wildflowers” video, the clip reworks footage from the Heartbreakers’ 1978 appearance on the BBC’s The Old Grey Whistle Test, which the band’s label describes as a breakthrough UK performance.

The track is part of Origins 1971-1978, a box set marking the 50th anniversary of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, due November 6 via UMe. The collection remixes the band’s self-titled 1976 debut and 1978 follow-up You’re Gonna Get It! from the original multitrack tapes, with longtime producer Ryan Ulyate overseeing the new mixes. It will be available in 5LP, 4CD and deluxe configurations, each including a Blu-ray and DVD, along with an 88-page fanzine featuring liner notes from David Fricke and Bud Scoppa.

The set also includes previously unreleased material such as the album No Sleep Til L.A., a KSAN-FM radio broadcast from 1977 featuring Al Kooper, and a collection of early solo recordings Petty made before forming the Heartbreakers. The release follows other recent 50th-anniversary activities from the estate, including a Lifetime Achievement Award presented to the band at the Americana Awards and a photo exhibition at the Morrison Hotel Gallery in Los Angeles.
