Toronto guitarist, composer and producer Jeremy Green has released his second full-length album, ‘In Motion,’ which reached number one on the Roots Music Report Jazz Fusion chart and number three on the outlet’s overall Jazz chart, according to the announcement. The eight-track instrumental record features contributions from Mike Stern, Will Lee, Keith Carlock, Oz Noy, Tim Lefebvre and Jimmy Haslip, among other musicians, with Carlock playing drums on every track.

The album’s lead single, “The 55,” is named for the now-closed Greenwich Village venue 55 Bar and features Stern and Lefebvre alongside saxophonist Chase Baird. Other tracks draw on personal material, including “Where the Sun Shines the Brightest,” written for Green’s three children, and closing track “Sir Robin,” a tribute to a late friend. Green produced the record himself, with mixing and mastering by Nashville-based engineer Jerry Guidroz.

Green’s 2021 debut, ‘Standing Eight,’ previously topped Roots Music Report’s Fusion Albums chart and reached number five on its Jazz Albums chart, according to the announcement. He will play a release show at Toronto’s Jazz Bistro on November 14.
