Trent Toney, an up-and-coming music artist from Hillsboro, Oregon, is currently making waves with his indie, folk, and alternative pop music in the industry. Armed with a rich musical background, an acoustic guitar, and the drive of a man who wants to create beautiful songs, the young artist is on his way to greatness. His versatile musical talent is allowing him to seamlessly crossover several genres to produce some of the most exhilarating and promising songs in the industry this 2021. 

Three months ago, Trent released his single titled “Knew You.” His Ed Sheeran-inspired vocal stylings and calming acoustic guitar skills are attributes that make his music awe-inspiring. Listening to “Knew You” gives people a sense of something familiar yet strangely fresh and unheard of before. 

Aside from the acoustic guitar, Trent is also gifted in playing the piano. He started playing it at the young age of seven and has never stopped since then. Seeing that he had an extraordinary inclination toward music, his parents invested in his piano lessons until he finished high school. On the side, he would take music-related classes in school, play in church, accept small gigs, and tinker with a bit of production, without fully realizing back then that music would become his greatest passion today. 

While in college, he was fond of creating YouTube videos, and two of them went viral, with one of them generating more than 2.5 million views. At that time, music was not his top priority. Things took a major turn, however, when he had a tough breakup with his girlfriend. It had a crippling effect on Trent, and he coped by locking himself in his room, forcing himself to learn the guitar, and writing songs for several months. At a time in his life when he thought there was no more hope, he found refuge in music, and it changed his life forever. 

In 2017, Trent went full speed and dived right into the local music scene. He would play at least five gigs in a week and would sometimes do multiple shows in a single day. His songwriting became a constant part of him, and he was able to produce hundreds of them. He would save up as much money as he could to be able to pay for studio time. 

As an independent artist, Trent enjoys the freedom of being able to produce his songs the way he thinks they ought to sound. Over the years, he has built strong friendships in the industry, including the owner of the Rye Room Studios, Matt Grecco. With Matt’s help, Trent was able to capture the kind of sound he envisioned for his songs. 

Times may be tough at the moment, especially because of the pandemic, but Trent is hopeful that in a few years, he will be able to do tours on a larger scale. Visiting other countries to play his music for a wide variety of cultures is something that he looks forward to doing in the future. Additionally, fortifying his personal brand online is one of his topmost priorities at present. He wants to be able to connect with his fans and multiple music enthusiasts. Exploring the possibility of future collaborations with other artists and producers is an exciting possibility down the road.

Nora Saints is a 20-year-old artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. Despite his young age, he has already been making music for about 13 years. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Nora Saints first forayed into music as the guitarist for the band he formed with his two brothers. Not long after, they disbanded and pursued other interests. The artist may have outgrown his brothers’ band, but he never turned away from his passion for music.

By the time he turned 13, Nora Saints was already a professional guitarist. However, he also admits making less than stellar songs. Over the years, Nora Saints continued to practice to master his craft. He drew insights from his experiences and explored other styles. The musician moved away from acoustic guitar songs and quickly learned to make beats and instrumental arrangements on the computer. At 16, the eager learner was running audio software and performing sound engineering.

Nora Saints began establishing his own following by putting his music front and center. Nora Saints gained over 20 thousand followers organically through ads and other strategic marketing efforts.

When Nora Saints had his daughter at 18, he had to once again slow down on his journey as a musician. His young family required all his energy and attention. Karson Leighton: 18-Year-Old Prodigy Following His Dreams

At 18, many young chaps are transitioning from being teenagers into becoming adults and coupled with a lot of bad decisions that kids make around that age due to teenage exuberance. It is impressive to see an 18-year-old who has not only quite figured out what he wants but built a strong foundation for the course he intends to chart. Sitting comfortably on a list of 18-year-olds who have found their calling is Karson Leighton, a singer, songwriter, performer and producer from Kalamazoo, Michigan. 

Karson’s music journey began in fourth grade when he started taking classical piano lessons. He quickly realized that he has an aspiration to create his artistic image through music. He decided not to pursue learning piano classically and started teaching himself. Before long, he grew an affinity to writing his songs and realized after realizing he had a singing gift. He fell in love with performing when he started participating in karaoke at a small bar in his hometown. From this point onward, all he had to do was continue to hone his skills throughout middle school and in an attempt to take his musical career to the next level with producing his music. 

Karson seized every opportunity he had to perform at school, whether it be the national anthem, choir concerts or fundraising events. He started teaching himself how to produce music on my family’s home computer during his freshman year, and a few months later, he released his first song. And with the support from friends and family, he gained a following and acceptance from people in his area. There and then, he realized he was on the right track that satisfied the dreams he had as a kid. His ability to have full control over every aspect of his music, from lyrics, instrumental, cover art and profile were all created by Karson and reflected who he is and his journey so far.

On his motivation, Karson said, “I am motivated to build my own brand because I am in love with the idea that I can showcase my talents and creativity to the world. Through music, I can declare my message that I want my listeners to take away. By building a brand, I will keep people’s attention and continue to instill the positive energy that I want people to feel with my music. I want to use any platform I am given to make the world a better place and fight for what people believe in within my brand.” 

On his music, Karson notes that his music is different from that of other upcoming artists because of his sound, though very experimental but at the same time easy to listen to. And with sound cutting across different genres, it is hard to place his music in one particular genre. “I try to make my music interesting by having unique storylines and production methods. I take inspiration from songs that portray certain moods and emotions.” He summed. “I believe this sets me apart because many artists who are trying to “make it big” attempt to be someone they’re not and getting everything put together for them. Not that getting help and management is a bad thing; I could probably benefit greatly from the right professionals, but I plan on being involved in every single part of the behind-the-scenes action for as long as I am making music and creating myself as an artist.” He concludes. 

For the next five years, Karson plans to devote all his time to his music and continue to follow and feed his passion. With a childhood dream of one day headlining his shows and performing in front of large crowds, Karson says, even coming close to his dreams five years from now is enough success for him. “I want my music to be a comfort zone for all of my listeners, and I see myself growing my audience to help other people by doing just that; creating music.” He added.

Three years later, while simultaneously running her internet radio station, XEEX97.4, ElleXentric dropped another single called “My Time”, and she also introduced a new song to the charts with the release of “Without A Doubt” last year. Letting her fans know that she plans on going absolutely nowhere. 

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to impact hundreds of millions of lives worldwide, ElleXentric continues to create pieces that not only act as her medium of self-expression, but also stand as a tool she can utilize to send across powerful messages about life. This coming March, she is scheduled to release her new single, “Best Life,” and it is set to cement her reputation within the music scene even more solidly.

On top of preparing for her sophomore project, which will showcase a more vulnerable side to this emerging power player, ElleXentric is also making moves to grace stages across the world and share her story with thousands more in the coming years.
