How Spencer Kiel Went from College Dropout to Helping Thousands of Musicians Dominate On Digital Channels

Every musician dreams of the day that their music reaches thousands of listeners regularly. That’s where professionals like Spencer Kiel come in. The music marketing expert is best known for building a system that exposes songs to thousands of listeners and gets rappers and artists thousands of listens a month.

Spencer is a marketing expert, music aficionado, and entrepreneur. Also known for his nickname Swishh, he owns a marketing agency of the same name that caters to rappers and artists who are looking to grow their online following and music streams.

The company has helped over 1,800 musicians reach more people through their social accounts in just the last few months. The results come from the depth of experience and success that Swishh has had in the past. A musician himself, Spencer is an avid songwriter. He has been actively recording songs since 2017. Swishh has been working with artists for over four years. In that time, he has noticed how the far majority of talented musicians struggle when it comes to marketing themselves.

His solution was coming up with a marketing automation system built on a partnership with the UK-based platform Audiu, also known as Repost Exchange, which the marketing consultant uses to bring more awareness and exposure to musicians’ works.

Spencer’s journey to where he is today did not come easy. In July 2017, after deciding to quit college as a freshman, he started on his entrepreneurial journey. He began with a sales job that taught him the foundations of sales. After rising to a managerial position in less than a year and absorbing all he needed to know, Swishh left his job and pursued his first business venture—a highly profitable eBay store.

After automating his business and scaling it, the online store exponentially grew. But that was cut short after Spencer’s eBay account got suspended for an unknown reason. He tried to revive the account but to no avail. After that, he found himself muddied with a forty thousand dollar debt and no money to his name.

He switched to music as a career and became an audio engineer. Although he was good at it, the money wasn’t enough to help him erase his debt. So he took a day job at Amazon, where he worked nine-hour shifts every day. In the evenings, he would spend all his waking hours on his music side hustle. He learned how to market himself and his musicians through piles of audiobooks, which he would listen to during his shifts.

In the third quarter of 2019, Spencer opened a SoundCloud account and Instagram page. He started uploading his original tracks. As soon as the songs hit digital waves, they started to spread like wildfire. Swishh was getting thousands of plays per track when more seasoned rappers were only getting hundreds. Musicians started to approach him and asked Spencer to market their songs for them.

Today, Spencer is serving more and more musicians by helping them grow their reach every single day. The most notable artist he works with, Noza Jordan, is signed to OTF records which was founded by Lil Durk.

After hitting 10k followers on Instagram in April 2020, the marketing guru left his day job to work on Swishh Music full time. He is extremely passionate about guiding musicians through the process of expanding their reach and monetizing their music. His company’s slogan is “helping music brands make noise,” and being true to his word, Spencer is creating a buzz for thousands of rappers and artists today.

How Cha$e Mill$ Is Inspiring People Through His Story and Music

Life is never always going to be easy, and oftentimes, we get knocked back down by its many challenges. However, as the old saying goes, it doesn’t matter how many times you fall, what matters is that you always get back up. As someone who has gone through quite a struggle in his life, Cha$e Mill$ knows the feeling of being knocked down many times, and through his songs, he aims to inspire people to get back up and fight like he did.

Jamal Harris, more popularly known as Cha$e Mill$, is an up-and-coming songwriter, brand ambassador, host, and hip-hop/rap artist from Maryland. A talented rapper known for his constant wordplay, clever metaphors, raw sound, and a unique backstory, Cha$e Mill$ aims to inspire many people to live their best lives through his music and story.

Gifted with a good heart and an even greater talent for writing and rapping, Cha$e Mill$’s music tells the story of love, loss, and redemption that the 27-year old artist has gone through in his life. With powerful, hard-hitting songs like “Let Me In”, “You Can’t Relate” and “Living Legend” on his The Growth, Vol. 1 mixtape, the Litty Music Group-signed Cha$e raps about his pain and struggle as he shares with his audience a story that is truly unique yet fully relatable.

Born Jamal Harris on September 29, 1992, this rapper on the rise has gone through quite a roller coaster ride in his life, describing his story as one “filled with pages of laughter, grief, and unforgettable memories.” As a child, Jamal Harris was raised in several areas of Maryland which reflects how diverse his style is in general. He grew up alongside his two younger siblings and was caught between two divorced parents. His dad was active but wasn’t always available, and so Cha$e and his siblings grew up with his mom, who remarried and moved them to Frederick, Maryland, where he also went to high school.

Amid all the struggles he was facing, the young Jamal always had refuge in the form of music. While his mother never really listened to music, except for ’80s and ’90s R & B, it Cha$e’s dad who was so into the underground rap culture that had Cha$e interested. Growing up, Cha$e was inspired by Lil Wayne, Three 6 Mafia, 50 cent, Tupac, Nas, and many more. He first tested his musical talents at 13 years old, writing lyrics in a composition book every night before going to bed. By the time he was 15, Cha$e formed a group called DC Connect, with his cousin recording music on an MP3 player in their basement. At the time, Cha$e never took music seriously, only playing around with it for fun.

It wouldn’t be until 9 years later that Cha$e decided to take his talent for writing music seriously. In those 9 years, he had gone through quite a lot in his life—going in and out of jail by the time he was 18 years old, being homeless for 2 years, losing his child’s mother and the custody of his son, as well as losing friends and family. However, despite these struggles, he was always persistent and chased his dream, inspiring his eventual rap name Cha$e Mill$.

Despite facing many challenges in his life, Cha$e Mill$ has always gone through everything with a smile in his face. As he says, “I have an opportunity to get my foot in the door of music and make an impact on millions of people’s lives with positivity.” Ultimately, Cha$e Mill$ aims to create songs that inspire people, encourage them to be themselves, and tell them to always strive to be better versions of themselves—just like he did.

Coco O’Connor’s “When I Was Your World” Serenades The World in Rough Times

Singer/Songwriter Coco O’Connor is bringing inspiration into the lives of music fans all over through her songs, message, and example. Hailing from a humble life in Alabama, the artist is quickly turning into a star. While her journey has not been comfortable, things are coming full circle for her.

Coco’s musical journey started back in 2015 when she independently launched her first album. The indie compilation quickly turned into a hit and collected a significant following. O’Connor took it to the next level by releasing “This Ol’ War” in 2018, a seven-track EP, which became a critically-acclaimed sophomore entry. One of the album’s entries, “The Devil, A Wounded Man, And Me,” went on to win an award in the 2019 International Acoustic Music Awards (IAMA) during their 15th annual ceremony.

Proceeding after gaining recognition, Coco returned to the studio with a determination to bring her music up another next level. She started working on new songs that would return the artist to her musical beginnings. “It has a lot to do with going back to my roots where I grew up,” says Coco.

An Alabama native, Coco shares how much love she has for her origins.

“When I was 10 years old, I started writing songs.” continues Coco. “See, I loved Dolly Parton, and my momma told me, ‘well, you need to learn to write songs like Dolly.’ So, thus began my journey into songwriting, and I haven’t stopped chasing songs ever since.”

In early 2019, Coco was able to sign with a major record deal. She went straight to recording at Blackbird Studios and Dog Den Studios in Nashville. Guiding the singer/songwriter star through the process was powerhouse producer Bill McDermott, who had worked with artists like George Strait, Tim McGraw, and Emmylou Harris. Steve Marcantonio, who did sound work with Dolly Parton, Roseanne Cash, and Vince Gill,  and John Lennon engineered Coco’s record. World-renowned Will McFarlane ( Bonnie Raitt) and The Shoals Sisters (Etta James , Allman Brothers)  brought the Muscle Shoals sound to  O’Connor’s album.

The result is a diverse album entitled “When I Was Your World,” which was released back on March 13, 2020. The album collection strings together ten beautiful tracks that instantly captured the hearts and minds of music fans throughout the nation and the world. The centerpiece of the album is her song of the same name. Coco wrote “When I Was Your World” sometime between 2015 and 2016. The artist was holding on to the song for the right time. The album of the same name felt to her like the best time to introduce it to the world. O’Connor’s daughter, a rock for the artist through the roughest of times, served as her inspiration to the track.

“I was just blown away that I was ‘the world’ to this little, new person in my life,” shares Coco. “So during a songwriting session with Rick Beresford and Deanna Walker, I blurted out the title, they loved it, and we were off to the races.” The team felt there was something special and soulful about the composition. Coco shares how she and the group felt a surge of emotions as they wrote the last lines of the song. “When I Was Your World” deals with all aspects of any relationship. It speaks on the freshness at the start, the eventual end, and all the ups and downs in between.

The album was released at the peak of the Coronavirus crisis but has still seen a tremendous amount of success. In March, the album sold thousands of copies and continues to see momentum. It received high praise as Coco had received hundreds of messages on Facebook and other channels about how much people love what the album “When I Was Your World” has to offer.

Christian Rapper ‘’MrBigFaith’’ Taking Over So-Cals Rap Game!

For some people, taking the long and arduous journey to success is for fulfillment and bettering one’s self. Does one do it for money? Or perhaps one goes through challenges for fame. After all, being successful in life is everyone’s dream. But for independent Christian rap artist Michael Brown, also known as MrBigFaith,  success is a journey that connects him to a much bigger purpose.

Whether it concerns his music or his clothing brand, Michael D’ Angelo Brown dedicates his actions to God. After a near-death experience, Brown had an epiphany which made him rethink the way he was living his life. Seeing that it wasn’t worthwhile, he left his old ways of thinking and surrendered to God. There and then, Brown knew what God’s calling meant and his life started to finally take a much more meaningful shape.

But Brown did not have this particular kind of dedication overnight. The change came difficult for him. He was a notorious gang banger and was used to carrying out his actions with violence. When Big Faith got a prophetic word revelation in 2017, he left his lifestyle behind. He started fresh in life. Brown dedicated his life to Music Ministry. Since then, MrBigFaith has been roaming the streets for a different reason: to serve God through music.

Although, after his life-changing decision, Big Faith still faced trials and tribulations. The Christian life is not free of worries, after all. But Brown dealt with his problems with more peace, knowing that his God is in control. These challenges have not shaken his faith. They further strengthened his trust in God.

After his remarkable change, Mr. Brown was named MrBigFaith. His community saw the changes in him. Since then, he has been making an effort to lead a life of example for others.

His new life focuses on his dedication to using his gifts to glorify God and reach people through his clothing line and his music. Brown is not limiting his opportunities to reach people only through traditional means. To him, music is merely a vessel through which God can use him to touch other people’s hearts and bring them closer to his Yahweh.

Michael Brown has explored other genres of music apart from the traditional forms in church. He has spent time in Christian hip-hop music, where he hopes to engage the younger generations. Recently, MrBigFaith has produced two Christian rap EP’s. One called Big Faith, and the other called Shift. Both EPs are available on all music platforms. @MrBigFaith

The very name of his clothing brand based in Los Angeles, All Praise Be To God, serves as a testament of how the word of God turned his life around. What separates Brown from the rest is that his work is, unparalleled in approach. Not only does he touch people through his art, but he reaches them through a more real and spiritual level.

Michael sees his second chance at life as a blessing, so he blesses other people through sharing the Word of God and continually giving back to the community. He has served with Hope on Skid Row on 5th and Crocker, Los Angeles on Sundays where they give out clothes, food, and share the Gospel to homeless people.

Michael recently dropped 2 EPs (Availible On All Platforms). One called ‘Big Faith’ And one Called ‘Shift’. These Projects speak to Michaels thoughts on the world in relation to christianity with an awesome approach.

Michael stands for Christ, not just music. To him, his achievements are made possible not through his works but only through the grace of God. All Praise Be To God!

Kia Kërr: Album ‘Journey With Me’ Released to Impart a Message of Hope

With everything that has been going on recently, it would be nice to have some peace and quiet. Imagine being in a place where technology is turned off, and those rampant thoughts inside your head are shut off as well. With eyes closed, just feel your breath going in and out. Tune out the world. Turn on some music. That will give you peace.

Music is the soul of life and gives immense peace. And with the feeling of disconnect and overwhelm brought by these trying times, music keeps people grounded and connected somehow. This is why musicians like Kia Kërr stay motivated to keep creating more music.

Kia Kërr was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She challenges the entertainment world to open its ears to a new sound. Her sweet tone, smooth timbre, and vocal range send warm vibrations that pierce not only through her listeners’ ears but as well as their hearts. As she blends her soulful melody with eclectic beats, she proves that she is in a league of her own.

This singer/songwriter has believed music to be her destiny calling at her ever since she was little. At the young age of 7, she was already singing and performing to her heart’s content. And in that pivotal moment, it can’t be any more apparent that music pumps through her veins. The way she captivates her audience is unlike any other.

Kia has performed in countless concerts and venues. Her fans fuel her to keep doing what she’s doing. And albeit being an experienced performer, she still manages to radiate a humble presence on stage. She strives to be a light in the entertainment industry by creating songs about the struggles and joys of life. She uses her music as a platform to ring hope to anyone who listens to it.

Writing her songs and arranging her own vocals give Kia an edge over other artists in the industry. She has a knack of turning her songs into more than just some vessels of beats and rhythms. She makes sure to incorporate her skill in story-telling with the art of songwriting.

For as long as she can remember, singing has always been her source of passion. Nothing sparks joy in her more than when she starts to let her voice out. She aspires to inspire all who will listen. And because she can’t be physically there for her listeners, she just lets her music fill in that gap. Through her songs, she reaches out to those who are feeling a little lost and down. She knows what it’s like to be at that point in life where nothing just seems to go right anymore. This is why it’s really important for her that she writes songs that are filled with hope.

Her new single “Light Lives Here” is already available on all streaming and purchasing platforms. Kia’s album, “Journey With Me”, is now available. The world has been a little too noisy lately, and Kia wants nothing more than for her music to uplift everyone in these trying times. Head on to her website to hear her euphoric and calming melodies.

Rapper, R&B Artist, and Producer Killa Teaze TMP Shares His Musical Journey

The uniqueness of an individual, especially when aspiring for a career in any creative field, is indispensable. We hear LANY, dropping their songs that give listeners immense emotions, or Drake with his R&B singles that ooze with personality or a track by Eminem uttering words faster than sound. These artists, while making great marks in the same industry, explore different styles, and present different identities.

Tommie Mallard, better known as Killa Teaze TMP, is making a path of his own.

Mallard grew up writing poems. He enjoyed writing about different things that would unsuspectingly pop out from his young yet creative mind. Everyone starts from somewhere, and the path towards stardom and acclaim begins inside the home. With his cousin, Mallard began to add harmony and beats to the multitude of poems that he created. He enjoyed these informal sessions with his cousin and these became one of the reasons that he grew to love composing.

While most 13-year-olds play with toy cars and love to go outside, he and his cousin spent a lot of time navigating through words, getting creative everywhere they go, and learning in the process. Indeed, when you get called to the mission of music-making, you see and experience the world in a whole different way. And for someone as young as the 13-year-old Mallard, the door opens wide.

As time passed by, Mallard got the hang of writing lyrics and integrating the words with beats that he soon entered into Rap and R&B. Inside the music industry, Mallard created strong relationships with artists who think as much as him. He partnered with the rapper Lil Zane and Derek Womack, to release hit singles that inspire and influence. He will soon sit down with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Lil Scrappy, and Jamie Foxx for musical projects. The future is productive for Mallard.

Today, Mallard manages and runs his music label, Rest In Peace Records. The label exists to provide recording services to start-up artists who are trying to find their paths in the industry. Mallard wants to create songs for himself and with others that convey real emotions, reveal real people, and relate to real people.

“I want my fans to love me for who I am,” reveals Mallard.

The creative process of music is both meticulous and straightforward. Either way, when an artist truly pours out his emotions and translates them to form clusters of words, the listeners can feel it. Mallard wants to become an artist that can resonate with his audience. He aspires to release tracks that allow people to understand his perspectives.

The factor that determines triumph among competitors, for Mallard, is individuality. There exists an ocean of artists. Often, singers, rappers, and producers get discouraged by this tidal wave of diversity. But not Mallard. He sticks to his identity, and for him, that makes him unique and a cut above the rest.

Certainly, others have way more achievements than him, but he believes that staying true to his craft will give him a spotlight bigger than where he is now. And he is in the process.

Follow Mallard on his Instagram page and get to know Rest in Peace Records. Check out his projects on his Youtube channel

Jennifer Messina is Raising Mental Health Awareness with her song “Time Heals Everything”

Jennifer Messina’s new song “Time Heals Everything” is about fighting and rising from the challenges in life, specifically raising awareness about the PTSD condition. Her advocacy on mental health awareness resonates with her passion for music. She creates music to express herself and connect with people, encouraging them to stand and fight back their fears and anxieties.

Jennifer was born in White Plains, NY, but lived her life in New Rochelle, NY, and Derry, NH, respectively. But wherever life took her, she was actively participating in solo singing or with a choir. Throughout her teenage years, Jennifer competed in Miss America pageants. Her exposure to singing, modeling, and acting, created an avenue for her to discover her talent and potential. An unexpected opportunity, Jennifer, at the age of 17, enlisted in the US Army Band, and she was commissioned as a lieutenant into the Military Police Corps. From a soft, endearing teenager, she was transformed into a strong and motivated woman.

Following her passion and talent in singing, she graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA with a degree in Electronic Production Design. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music, and with an ounce of motivation, Jennifer released her song “Time Heals Everything,” which is presented by Stackin Up Entertainment.

Time Heals Everything, with its official music video available now on Youtube, is a moving, ballad song about resilience. Jennifer wrote the song echoing her personal experience of recovery from depression. Growing up, she dealt with situations that caused her to develop PTSD, which took some time for Jennifer to overcome. She is quoted saying, “Through reflection, with good energy, and motivation to make changes, all you need is time to heal everything.”

Jennifer is dedicating this song to anyone going through hard times and would take her song as a motivation to conquer their fears and anxieties. She is raising awareness on mental health through her music, and she believes that everyone can overcome such obstacles and rise again.

Jennifer is determined to connect to all audiences with her music. As she creates songs that echo her personal experiences, Jennifer believes that every joy and hurdle in life is bound to be reflected upon and shared with everyone. It is creating good energy, a community where everyone feels that they are not alone in their life’s struggles. It is always okay to seek help, talk about it, and help each other overcome such obstacles.

Jennifer is a genuine advocate of mental health awareness; for her, it is real, and it is worthy of attention. She will be the voice of the unheard, and she will revolutionize the approach towards reflection and recovery as time is bound to heal everything.

Jennifer has big dreams for her music career. Following the release of her new song, she is currently working and creating songs that would connect her more to her audience. She is also planning to do tours and promotions for her single; Time Heals Everything.

Jennifer is eager to keep in touch with anyone who shares her advocacy. You may follow her on Instagram and check her website for music updates. Her latest single, Time Heals Everything, is also available on Spotify for streaming.

The UK Continues to Get More ‘Electric’ By the Day With Edvard Forre Erfjord

They’re the hottest electronic duo out of the UK and have worked with artists including Little Mix, Olly Murs, Machine Gun Kelly, Hailee Steinfeld, The Wanted, Cheryl Cole, and Fifth Harmony. Meet Electric, the record producing duo—Edvard Forre Erfjord and Henrik Michelsen. We spoke with Erfjord, who has embarked on a solo career and is making headlines of his own, holding over 76 music credits.

As for Erfjord, whose journey started in his hometown of Stavanger, Norway, there was a good scene which allowed him to begin his musical career playing in punk and metal bands. “My first instrument was a guitar, but soon after, I started playing drums, bass, and keys,” he shared with us.

It wasn’t until he moved to Liverpool in 2007 that his life changed, where Erfjord hoped to build a network and fast. And it all began at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, a school co-founded by Sir Paul McCartney, where the two electronic songwriters found one another.

“What’s really great about the school is that it also offers a management course, so you meet people who later started working with music labels as well as publishing and music management,” Erfjord explained.

Recognizing that “overnight success” is hardly a reality, Erfjord was able to acquire a student loan, which according to him, “…buys you some time to get your stuff together, since it’s hard to start making money on music straight away.”

Yet, everything changed for Erfjord when he met his band-mate Michelsen,

“We shared a flat together while we went to school and started working very organically, as we both had a small studio setup in our bedrooms.”

Little do fans know that the first production venture the duo worked on together, was a pop punk band from Wigan, outside of Manchester.

“We did not have that many writing sessions with other people in the beginning,” Erfjord recalled. “It was more experimentation with different sounds and genres. It was a lot of guitar-based stuff from the start, and more rocky stuff.”

Electricity Begins to Flow

For Erfjord, who built his career playing in punk and metal bands, was accustomed to playing the guitar as his main instrument. It was for this reason that Erfjord became excited about transitioning into the electronic dance music scene.

“…it felt very cool to be able to use synthesizers and programming more. It felt very exotic being able to use other instruments than a guitar, bass, and drums.”

When Erfjord and Michelsen signed their first publishing deal, they were eating at a restaurant in London called ‘Electric.’

“Our publisher came up with the idea for our band name,” he explained. “I thought it was a good name…Electric. It was very simple and not something you would get tired of hearing after a month!”

Over the past few years, Erfjord made his way to the top of the UK’s music chart surrounding Electric’s work with Little Mix, who since winning the eighth season of The X Factor UK, have gone on to release four top 10 platinum certified studio albums, one of which being No. 1 and four UK No. 1 singles and have become one of the most successful girl groups this century. The four-piece girl group, who includes Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards, looks to artists like the Spice Girls, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Destiny’s Child, Nicki Minaj, TLC, Christina Aguilera, and Rihanna for guidance into today’s music industry.

But Not Without a Bit of Darkness

The UK dance music industry, according to Erfjord, tends to be a bit darker and more moody sounding. “There are so many different sub-genres today, so it’s hard to trace where the different genres and styles were born.”

With bands like Depeche Mode and New Order, the UK has seen a huge spark in the industry, both sonically and melodically. “And Prodigy of course, they have been very influential to the UK’s electronic music scene. I remember listening to their albums as a kid; I had never heard anything like it before.”

But success was not an overnight experience for the duo. There are always obstacles to overcome.

“Starting out in Liverpool was tricky. There were not many people to do sessions with, so we would have to go to London to work with other writers and artists. We didn’t have a publishing deal at the time, and weren’t sure how to go about obtaining one. Everyone told us it was important to get a publishing deal, to get the ball rolling. But how do you get one? It was very cryptic to me. I remember Googling ‘how to get a publishing deal’ a week or two before we actually received our first offer. So, things started happening after we signed with San Remo/Kobalt.

For the duo, having had three number one spots on the UK music charts was one of their biggest accomplishments. “That’s something I’m very proud of. And winning a Brit Award for the best single. You never know if that is going to happen again, so it’s very cool to have experienced that!”

Yet, life in the industry for writers, producers, and artists over the past six months has been a whirlwind that nobody expected. How Electric has responded and adapted to production life during COVID-19 has certainly impacted them in ways they didn’t initially expect.

“It’s actually been working very well conducting writing sessions over Skype and Zoom, so I think we will definitely be doing more of that in the future. Obviously, it’s better to be in the room with people, but it has been much better than expected. It changes the process a bit, as we’re sending stuff back and forth. A lot of top-liners have a setup for recording vocals at home, so it’s very convenient.”

But what does Erfjord believe to be a key takeaway from the past six months of the global coronavirus pandemic? Flexibility.

“I think the quarantine has hopefully helped producers experiment more with their sound, as you have more time to make tracks.”

Electronic Music Will Always Transcend

As the EDM space continues to evolve and expand, it’s hard to separate out truly unique, quality sounds from the mainstream sound we all hear on the radio and at clubs.

For producers like Erfjord, one outcome that he would like to see come to fruition, is proper accreditation for their work. “I think that in the EDM/dance world, it happens that some producers are not credited fairly and/or correctly. There are sometimes ghost producers and co-producers involved, who do not get a fair credit for their work. I feel like this is something that might get better with time, and I feel like it’s a very good thing that Spotify shows the song credits. It’s easy to see who wrote and produced the songs.”

As for network building, Erfjord’s web of contacts today have roots back in Liverpool’s institute. “I know a lot of people in the industry today that I went to school with, so it’s cool to see that people continue to work with music afterwards.”

Change that Comes with the name: August Summers’ Club Music Transformation

Rising performer-artist Swagger Splash, now known as August Summers continues to make a buzz in the entertainment scene with his ongoing independent tour and the recent release of his single entitled, “Miss Dj.”

He has so far kept the audience coming since his last DJ-released single in 2019 that peaked at the #9 spot on the DUC German Charts. August has brought independent rap music in music arenas with a solid expanding fan base and gaining popularity from performances in commissioned events.

He was formerly known as Swagger Splash, but due to an accident, he decided to change his artist name to August Summers. This decision came when just a couple of months ago, he met an unfortunate vehicle crash. He was then on tour in the Philippines when the scooter he was riding was hit by two big trucks. The mishap resulted in four broken ribs, hematoma in his lungs, and a skull fracture. It was life-changing, something he saw as a new beginning for him that mandates a change of name.

Rapper August Summers was born in the rich musical state of Louisiana. During the early stages of his career, he has gained a wide array of exposure. However, his succeeding efforts did not produce the desired initial results in his chosen path. Unfazed and decided not to give up, August traveled abroad, determined to widen his fan base independently. Finally, upon relocating to Panama City, Florida, the spring break capital of the world, August Summer proceeded on his career. He continued to perform and promote extensively throughout northern Florida and its surrounding areas.

Some of the events he appears at are high school shows, college parties, corporate functions, and famous night clubs. August feels that his sound attracts high school and college scenes and this demographic too. With his high-paced rap music, only those who want to party-til-they-drop will get in the zone for these beats. He has an intense energy that really encourages interactive dancing. With his unique vocals, he would mostly record mainstream pop hip-hop music fit for all clubbing enthusiasts.

As an artist, August is a cut from the rest through his adaptable personality. He can transition in any setting he performs. “If I’m doing an urban club, I will perform my urban music. If I’m doing a pop club, I will perform pop hits. I’m very versatile,” he shared. He is accomodating to fans and followers, sharing that he’s even willing to move around and stay after the show just to take pictures with them. As he transitioned to a new name, August values and appreciates his fans more, saying that he wouldn’t be where he is now without them.

After his life-changing accident, August sees his career geared towards making more music related to his personal life. He admits that his swag can sometimes be out of this world fashion. Sometimes, being more genuine to one’s self, such as dressing yourself, is the best way to impress.

Get to know budding artist August Summers more through his  Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok.

O.U.R. Brand Music Label, Connecting Artists Through Diversity

Music is one form of art that garners a lot of audiences. The industry keeps growing together with the increase in the number of artists and talents being discovered.

Technology has given way for independent artists to release their materials through social media, online marketing tools, digital music distribution, and, most of all, streaming platforms. Now, artists can easily publish their content through Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, or Apple Music.

There are a lot of advantages to being an unsigned musician. However, most of the artists still feel the need for improvement and growth that only a music label can provide.

O.U.R. Brand Music Label Inc. is an independent music label that houses budding artists of different sounds. The company does not conform to just one of two genres of music, and instead, prides itself in the diversity of their artists. Urban, R&B, soul, pop, hip-hop, and rap are just some of the genres that the musicians in O.U.R. Brand Music offer.

Sean Bryant, also called PacoTheProducer, is the label’s in-house producer. He wanted to get his beats to reach a bigger audience. He wasn’t as business savvy as that time, so he enlisted the help of Russell. The music industry can be a place full of deception, but Bryant completely trusted Russell and felt that they could work closely together.

They also found out that their good friend, Flood Dawg, wanted to release music of his own. This made the trio realize their shared aspirations of starting and making an impact on the music business.

The company was finally established by Sean Bryant Jr., Michelle Tooles, and RaShawn Russell in 2016.

“Collectively, we wanted a name that reflected our views, and one that we could help cater to all genres of music — not placed within a box of one type of sound. We believe all the artists we sign [and future signees] all have their unique style that they bring to the table, and it’s “OUR” job to help them get heard by the masses. O.U.R. Brand Music Label as an entity represents Opportunity, Unity, and Respect in the evolving music industry for all genres.”, the O.B.M. founders explained, when asked about how the name of the company came to.

A few months after making O.U.R. Brand Music Label official, the company released Flood Dawg’s E.P. called Perfect Timing. For an unknown artist, the project was received well by listeners. This pleasant surprise gave them an idea about expanding their business.

Currently, the music label houses a variety of artists with their individual choice of genre. Some of the artists under the label are Tay Y.U.N.G, Flood Dawg, John Relo, Brazy Brandon, 2CraZ, Liam LA Adams, and PacoTheProducer.

O.U.R. Brand Music is entirely independent and practices what its company name means — Opportunity, Unity, and Respect.
