Philadelphia’s Power Couple NTG & Yung Draw Launch Their New Album Exclusively

The hip-hop scene in Philadelphia is made even more exciting by the presence of independent power couple NTG and Yung Draw—real-life lovers and music partners at the same time. The two recently exclusively released their new album called I Am NTG on their website, Ntune Entertainment Group

Also, better known as the SpittaGang, the two started making good music together in August 2011. Their obvious love for music started to translate into a deep love for one another as they started to get to know each other better. Their electrifying chemistry together is also felt by fans of their music, whether they are rapping about love, politics, or other social issues.

Their lyrics are distinguishable due to their bold and straightforward message that sheds light on issues that listeners ought to be mindful of. NTG and Yung Draw use their music to help change the perspective of people about specific issues in society. Their ability to influence their fans has become a powerful tool to send out a message of love, hope, justice, and peace. They are also well-known for exposing issues that need more attention, such as suicide and rape.

The two are definitely strong together, unbeatable, and powerful in every sense of the word. They are crowd favorites when they would perform with or do front acts for the likes of Tone Trump, Legendary Hip Hop artist Kurtis Blow, DJ Too Tuff of The Tuff Crew, Hip Hop Artist Cyhi The Prince (signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam Recordings), and many other notable performers. The duo also co-produced an independent showcase with Air It Out Radio featuring DJ Drewski of Love and Hip Hop New York and Hot 97 in March of 2017.

They have been featured in XXL Magazine, Hip Hop Weekly Magazine, The Hype Magazine, Up Next Magazine, and  Street Motivation Magazine, and on popular hip hop sites: Hip Hop Dx, This Is 50, All Hip Hop, Hip Hop Since 1987, Hip Hop Vibe, and others. They have made radio appearances on Coast 2 Coast , 98.5 Fm The Wire, Cali’s Best Radio Show, The Magnetic Mixtape, Air It Out Radio, Gloca Wear Radio, The Real Deal Radio, and many more.

Realizing that they could do so much more when they put their efforts and creativity together, NTG and Yung Draw decided to establish their own independent hip-hop label in 2013. The birth of Ntune Entertainment Group signaled hope for many independent new artists who are struggling with their careers because of the lack of proper connections. The couple hopes to change this by giving new artists a platform where they can create new songs and get the promotion that they need to be heard.

“We noticed there wasn’t really a platform for the kind of music we make, and we wanted complete creative control. We want to make and release the music we love. We also wanted to help other artists like us who want the freedom to rock out on our terms,” the power couple reveals.

Their music is designed to touch the lives of listeners. It also aims to equip fans with the ability to make a stand on certain issues. Having the freedom to create and promote their own music has launched the power couple and countless others onto an equal plane as those who are being backed up by big label companies. Even without a big label backing them up, NTG and Yung Draw are still able to get the appreciation and patronage of hip-hop fans worldwide.

The power couple sees themselves doing world tours five years from now. They believe that there will come a time when Philadelphia will become too small for them. When that time comes, all of the world will be waiting to experience their music.

Up-and-Coming Rapper Don Popi Soon to Drop Her New Single “Change 4 Change”

Racism, police brutality, and the challenges of the LGBT community are the societal issues that Don Popi’s new single “Change 4 Change” will touch on. The rising rap star is not letting her skills and talent go to waste. She is determined to use her voice to demand a change for a change and what better way to do this than through her passion for music.

Hailing from Athens, Georgia, Don started her rap journey at 16 years old in their home studio along with her older sisters. She can depict complex realities into simple scenes that can play through one’s head while listening to her tracks.

As a female rapper, she exudes dominance, authenticity, and unapologetic vibes. She believes that women should be free to express themselves in whatever they want without any fear.

As a musician, she believes it is her purpose to use her voice to address what needs to be addressed. Writing lyrics and singing her truth can make a big difference in society. When a rap artist enters the mind of the listener through a captivating track, the effect can be groundbreaking as the attention of the listeners is brought to the important messages that the song delivers. Currently, she continues to make meaningful music that is not only pleasant to the ears but also featuring lyrics that hit right through the bones. Cameron Bickley with The Sample: Covering Your Favorite Songs You Didn’t Know Were Sampled

There are several podcasts in the media landscape today. A podcast is recorded audio or video file accessible through various platforms and can be downloaded for consumption anywhere and anytime. Cameron Bickley is a podcaster and the genius behind the weekly musical podcast, The Sample.

In the music industry, fans revere the artists behind memorable songs. May it be a rap by Tupac, or an album by Chris Brown, or a fresh release by Drake, listeners are awe-inspired by artists who produce songs that affect. On that account, people love to know the inspiration behind these songs. This is what The Sample is for.

Created by 25-year-old Cameron Bickley from Wetumpka, Alabama, the podcast discusses a variety of songs: the artist behind it, the inspiration, and other trivia. Unlike many audio podcasts, Cam produces content that can be consumed in less than ten minutes. “Today, many podcasts feature hosts that sit and talk about irrelevant information for 50 minutes, and then try to pack it all into 10 minutes toward the end,” explained Cam. He wants to sway away from this norm. He added, “My podcast gets to the point and provides you with entertainment, comedy, and education to keep you engaged.”

Before this pursuit, Cam served in the Air Force. He worked as a Space Systems Operator and was honorably discharged six years after his humble service to his country. He then observed the changing landscape of media and entertainment. So he enrolled full-time at Florida State University, taking up Digital Media Production. A student during the day and a music enthusiast by night, the Air-Force-veteran-turned-podcaster browses through a vast collection of tracks and studies them for his program.

Cam does not prefer any genre over another. His podcast covers a wide range of musical genres like soul, funk, r&b, house, hip hop, among others. Because of his flexibility, Cam’s valuable and informative podcast climbed the ranks in Spotify’s Top 100 Music Podcasts in America. In addition, The Sample has also gone global with listeners from Germany, Great Britain, Canada, and 196 other countries. The podcast episodes have also been downloaded over 200,000 times.

Apart from The Sample, Cam doubles as a sketch comedian and a voice actor in other social media platforms like Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, and Facebook. To date, he has amassed a total of 5 million views and counting for all his content. Cam is a media influencer and a personality that is steadily rising to fame. In his devotion to music, he dreams of working with famous artists like Drake, Brent Faiyaz, Don Toliver and many more.

Adding to the long list of his credentials is Cam’s short features on YouTube and his catalog of photographs and videos. He continues to produce content even amid the pandemic. The recent one is Wu Tang Clan’s “C.R.E.A.M.” for his Flashback Friday—a recurring segment that takes out ’90s songs from the closet that contain samples that the casual music listener wouldn’t notice and introduces it to his listeners. Other similar contents include “Keep Ya Head Up” by Tupac, “Go Crazy” by Chris Brown and Young Thug, “Kings and Queens” by Ava Max, and many more. The Sample aims to educate, open discourse, and make listening to songs more meaningful. Cam’s overall goal is spreading music awareness to all his listeners young and old alike.

“I know the will to win comes from knowing how to take failure and turn it into success and lessons,” John said. He was determined to achieve success, not only for himself but for his whole town. Their city, Youngstown, Ohio, is dubbed as ‘Mob town, Bomb town.’ John persevered to create a new narrative for his hometown and put them on the map.

Going back to his movie, John took his character to a different level by giving it life and empowerment. His determination to encourage people through his character is what the world needs today.
