Tess Vockler is Changing the DJ Industry

The world is on pause amid the pandemic. With establishments shutting their doors and businesses halting their operations, many artists are struggling to handle their careers. But for Tess Vockler, she’s going full speed ahead. While other artists figure out their next move after having their shows and tours cancelled, Tess hits the pedal to the metal and shows her fellow artists the way. Nothing can stop her burning passion to make songs that impact. She is an artist unlike any—a force to be reckoned with.

Born with natural vocal virtuoso, the Australian-native has developed her abilities and is steadily making a name for herself, both in the local LA scene (where she resides) and internationally. Her showstopping act has reached far, from back home in Australia to the other side of the globe—on the world stages of Los Angeles and Las Vegas. After dominating the Aussie music industry with electrifying performances that leave the audiences in awe, she decided to make the move out to LA.

Within a sea of male DJs in the music scene, Tess thrives rather exceptionally. She allures listeners with her physique and top-notch DJ skills unparalleled by any in her field. She performs as a DJ and Live Act at LA’s hottest night spots. Whether a club remix of Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic,” a remix of Tinashe’s song, or a flavorful rendition of Jackson 5’s “Want You Back,” Vockler turns any club upside-down with creative and magnetic tracks that leave you hooked and wanting more.

She has taken her shows to online universes, club sets, with stunning views. She uses  catchy phrases that make her performances memorable like her renowned “Golden Hour DJ Sets,” which she began before the pandemic. She showed some LIVE IGTV videos of her voice, singing in an acoustic way, alongside some of her band members, calling it “Cover Lover’s” to keep her fans entertained. And they are.

Vockler does not just pride herself on being a sensational DJ; she also sings and writes her songs. Since 2016, the multi-talented musician has produced songs for a wide array of audiences, dropping the tracks on her Soundcloud account and Spotify. Her single “Addicted” is a collaboration with the similarly acclaimed Social Hooliganz. The song features a unique assembly of beats, harmonies, and edgy vocals converging together to form a musical masterpiece.

Tess wants to constantly challenge herself and her craft. To improve her music, she always looks for more. Nothing in the world can rock her boat, and it is easy to see that her confidence and artistic legacy is peaking. This is how she stays ahead of the game and stands out from the industry.

She is gearing up to release new music once again, and her fans cannot wait to hear it. Working day and night to produce the series of songs for her upcoming works, Vockler is an artist who is grounded on her abilities and tireless efforts to make music intended to ecstasize her listeners.

Vockler works hard for her songs, and she does not give up when confronted with complications. Vockler does not see challenges only solutions and a motive and vision to persevere and stick to her identity. These are the attributes that make her a game-changer in the music scene.

How Mark St. Rose Uses the Power of Music to Send a Message When Words are Not Enough

Heinrich Heine once said, “Where words leave off, music begins.” Indeed, music has been regarded as a universal language to which each person from all parts of the world agrees on. Although music may vary by genre or language, the rhythm it consists of and the notes it plays are languages that appeal to the soul.

Although a bulk of the music we enjoy today contain lyrics that songwriters wanted to convey, the accompanying sound figuratively adds emotion, therefore attaching more definition to otherwise seemingly empty words. That is why Mark St. Rose uses this medium to teach men how to properly treat women and to help women understand men.

As an ardent musician, Mark manifested his love for his passion at a young age. He participated in anything that is related to the craft back when he was still a child. For instance, he sang together with his church choir and marched in a band and chorus in high school. Because he wants to continuously improve in the art, he vehemently trained himself on how to play some musical instruments like playing the piano, guitar, drums, bass, and other instruments, to fully equip himself. He also developed a love for poetry, which he would further transform into lyrics.

Being influenced by different genres like Pop, Rock, Neo-soul, House, and Jazz, it can no longer be repudiated that Mark is greatly resourced, and a well-oiled artist. Mark also stated how artists like Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, Lenny Kravitz, D’Angelo, and Prince have greatly influenced his music choices. Because of this, it can be revealed how flexible Mark is when it comes to his craft. What is interesting about Mark is that even though he had taken inspiration from many things, he substantially leaned towards Rhythm and Blues, or what is popularly known as R&B.

As a talented R&B artist, he produces, writes, and sings his own music. Mark even shared that every instrument that could be heard in his songs were personally played by him. Other than the musical instruments, he showcases a wide range of vocal talent in his songs that presents variety. He wanted to send a message to the world how R&B can further be appreciated by maximizing and introducing diversification and its missing factors. For example, Mark believes that playing guitar solos in his music would help bring back the lost art that cannot be heard from mainstream music today.

Being more than just a musician, Mark wanted to use the medium as a way for him to educate people. Specifically, he wants to bridge the gap between the communication of men and women. He does this by giving men the appropriate lessons needed to guide them in treating women, and an opportunity for the latter to understand the men’s emotions when they are unable to express themselves. He fancied a society where men and women exist together harmoniously and with misunderstandings that are at a minimum.

Mark hopes to facilitate bringing emotional awareness to the world. With his EP, entitled Mango, which is set to be released later this year, he wishes to fulfill his dream of unity and empathy.

U.S. ‘Looking At’ TikTok Ban Says Sec. of State Mike Pompeo

0

State Sec. Mike Pompeo said the U.S. would “surely look” at banning Chinese social media apps including TikTok’s short-form video app over national security and privacy issues.

“About Chinese applications on people’s mobile phones, I can tell you that the U.S. can get that one right too,” Pompeo said in an appearance on Monday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle, Fox News. “I don’t want to get out in front of the president, but we are looking at it.”

Pompeo added that people should download TikTok only “if you want your private information in the hands of the Communist Party of China.”

The news comes as TikTok is looking increasingly to distance itself from its Beijing-based parent company ByteDance. TikTok was barred from India last week along with 58 other China-made devices amid national security and privacy issues. TikTok ‘s ban came as a major blow as India was one of the fastest growing and most lucrative markets. There have even been rumors that a moratorium
was being looked at by the Australian Government.

The Hollywood Reporter has reached out for comment on TikTok.

TikTok also announced on Monday night that it was pulling out of Hong Kong after a controversial security law was passed by the city government last week.

Reuters reported on Monday night that Apple and Google ‘s app stores for Hong Kong are being removed by the social media giant.
“We’ve decided to stop operations of the TikTok app in Hong Kong in light of recent events,” a TikTok spokesperson told Reuters. The allegedly short-form shared video network has 150,000 users in Hong Kong.

Earlier Monday, Facebook , WhatsApp, Twitter, Google and Telegram all said they were suspending co-operation with Hong Kong police regarding user information requests.

NeverLeveled LLC and The Reggae Hub to Bring Beenie Man Live on NeverLeveled TV

Jamaica is a country of rich culture. The people of Jamaica have positively influenced the world with their music, dance, and fashion. Dancehall, a genre of music and a dance style, originated from the Jamaican communities in the 70s. In the international music and dance scenes, Dancehall is widely acclaimed and integrated. Like many cultures, people gravitate towards select few artists who capture the essence of the culture and effectively relay it to target audiences.

Dancehall’s King Beenie Man worked his way from local recognition to international fame with his dancehall tracks. He has been in the music industry for 25 years and influenced other established genres like Pop, Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, and Afrobeat.

King Beenie Man started venturing to music at a very young age. Considered to be a child prodigy in his creative lane, the Jamaican superstar released a hit single at just 12 years old. He performed in local festivals like the 1992 Reggae Sunsplash Festival, where he captured the eyes of the international community.

Roughly two weeks ago, King Beenie Man released a new singleDo You Want to be That Guy” – a song referencing the pandemic and the crimes in Jamaica.

There is too much to learn from the life and success of Beenie Man. As a tribute to a living legend, NeverLeveled LLC, in partnership with The Reggae Hub, will stage a virtual live concert featuring King Beenie  Man called “Life of a King” – through NeverLeveled TV.

“Life of a King” is part of the myriad of shows that NeverLeveled TV will offer to its subscribers. Tickets are available from $3.99 to $9.99 – each upgrade elevates the experience that the platform readies for its viewers.

With over 4,000 movies ready for streaming, NeverLeveled TV will serve as the best pastime for the family.

The idea started from Guy Duhon, founder of NeverLeveled, with his similarly innovative partners Lamar Brumfield and Jason and Debbion Newman, owners of The Reggae Hub.

“[We] look to provide our audience with a virtual experience that’s needed to lift the moods and balance the climate we’re in at the moment, says Duhon.

According to Duhon, NeverLeveled and The Reggae Hub is honored to jump-start the virtual platform with the community getting a taste of the greatness of Beenie Man.

NeverLeveled TV is an ingenious creation by a team that wishes to bring talents and memorable experiences inside the comforts of family homes. And with The Reggae Hub on board, viewers are in for a treat. There is much bonus up for grabs. General Admission for “Life of a King” is at $3.99. VIP access, priced at $6.99, gives subscribers a choice to download the music of Beenie Man and a backstage view. Taking it up to the highest notch, Ultra VIP subscribers acquire all of the offers and get a chance to join a virtual party with secret guests and artists. This can all be availed with the $9.99 rate.

In light of the recent shooting of Breaonna Taylor, an African-American emergency room technician, NeverLeveled LLC has decided to postpone the event and move it to August 14. NeverLeveled and The Reggae Hub stand  in solidarity with the family of  Taylor who was caught in the crossfire against the police. To give time for the community to reflect on the incident and the family to start their healing process, the event was moved to a later date.

With 24,000 patrons at bay, NeverLeveled expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the patience and understanding of the public. Alongside The Reggae Hub, NeverLevelled sets out to partner with ROKU and Amazon Fire Stick, and hit the 100,000 mark.

11 Officers Injured Breaking up Unlicensed London Music Event

0
Eleven police officers were wounded when they attempted to break up an unlicensed music festival in western London, the latest in a string of unauthorized parties in the British capital during the past couple of weeks that have come down to abuse. The Metropolitan Police, London’s overarching police force, said the officers were thrown at bricks and other objects upon their arrival. Specially qualified law enforcement personnel dressed in tactical clothing immediately mobilized to bring the incident under hand. Two officers suffered broken bones, the police force said, while nine others sustained non-serious injury. No arrests were made. Police said by 1:15 a.m. all watching the White Community gathering had been dispersed. A few hours after reports were first issued Saturday morning from a mass meeting at a housing estate. Detective Chief Inspector Luke Wyllie said police are identifying those who are involved in the “violence and disorder” process. “We ‘re not going to allow those intent to do harm to get away with this behavior,” he said. Last week, 22 police officers were severely wounded after a street party erupted into chaos in Brixton ‘s south London area. Another gathering also led to clashes at Notting Hill in west London. Following the June 24 Brixton clashes, the Met’s highest-ranking police offer, Cressida Dick, said the number of police injuries over the three weeks prior is “heading up to 140-odd officers,” including those hurt during protests in the wake of George Floyd’s brutal killing in the US. Under England’s coronavirus restrictions, gatherings are limited to six people, even after saturday when pubs and restaurants can reopen in the lockdown’s latest easing. Mayor Sadiq Khan of London has denounced the current police assault as “disgraceful” and on Saturday additional officers will be out. “Violence against the police will not be tolerated and perpetrators will be caught and prosecuted,” he said.

Benevento / Russo Duo Releases LP’s on Vinyl for Bandcamp Friday, Pre-Order Now!

0
Yesterday we got a little hint on this and my friend was correct on what we saw revealed from the team at The Royal Potato Family this morning. The Benevento / Russo Pair was melded into Joe Russo’s Almost Dead’s broader spirited Grateful Dead project, so their initial project was largely quiet as late. But with the epidemic of the coronavirus COVID-19 causing us all to sit home for a little while, it looks like they dove through the files and wanted to eventually get around to publishing their two major albums on vinyl for the first time. They also placed Play Pause Stop back on streaming channels, and even introduce five live tracks to the mix.
It’s Bandcamp Friday! The online music shop generously waives all of its revenue share today, while RPF pays 100% of all… Posted by The Royal Potato Family on Friday, July 3, 2020

Money Matt Is the Rapper to Watch Out For

Ohio is ripping at the seams with so many notable up-and-coming artists, and one of the rappers to watch out for this year is Money Matt.

With the world paying attention to Ohio’s music scene, he is amplifying his voice to define a new sound coming from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a two-time award-winning artist and independent musician, and he has since generated over a million streams.

At a young age, he already knew that music was going to be something he would do for the rest of his life. It all started when he had a severe eye injury that he started looking for a way to release his anger. He explored different outlets, went on to play sports, and had the natural talent for it, but it did not spark something in him until music.

When he came upon freestyling, he realized it gave him a way to release. So when he started doing so, he never stopped since. “I always had used music as a means to get away from my reality and express myself in my own way,” he shares.

And since then, he practiced, freestyled, and developed his craft. He later on went on a journey of looking for his sound in music and working on his song depth and flow. It took him almost five years to perfect freestyling by writing for six to eight hours every night. However, in 2012, he got his first studio set up and began to record.

His time at the studio led to his debut single, “No Beats Just Bars,” which became the foundation of #MoneyMattTakeover2017.

His career was not an easy one. After encountering struggles early on, he realized that beyond making music, he wanted to make a name for himself as a positive leader—like an NFL or NBA player—to the youth. For him, glorifying violence is not the way we need to spread positivity to the youth.

“They need to see that being yourself is going to get you in farther places than creating a facade that most people in everyday life do not live,” he says.

Money Matt is someone all people will admire. His positivity is not only shown through the music he puts out, but also through his genuine demeanor to his fans, the charisma he brings on stage, and the willingness to work with other artists in the independent music scene.

The tracks that he has released so far convey a message that has since been heard worldwide and a brand that is for the unity of all people. The real reason behind his name proves his humility. In his tracks, “Like Yesterday” and “A1 Grind”, he mentions that money isn’t going to change him.

Today, he recently released his song, Double Up, dubbed as the summer banger of the year.

Indeed, as an upcoming rapper, his original style, universal sound, and positive outlook will surely spread for Money Matt to rise as one of the biggest rappers in the music game today.

Learn more about Money Matt on his website.

Rapper Rulla Is Philly’s Newest Rising Star

Today, there has never been a lot of music to sift through. New releases are growing in frequency, trends come and go, and new rappers are popping out from anywhere. However, amid all of the noise, the ones who stay are those who know how to keep their music fresh and Rulla is working toward just this.

This North Philly rapper is only 21 years old, but over the years, he has maintained his steady mark in the industry and is teasing new music that just gets better and better every year as he discovers his own boundless potential. He’s already oozing with talent as it is. To think he may have unlocked some new, incredible ways to level up his game is exciting to look forward to.

With a proven track record of making absolute slappers (“No Cap” and “Right Now” are just some of his biggest releases to date) and signed by none other than Philly’s music mogul Jimmy Dasaint himself, he doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.

Raised on the hard streets of North Philly, Rulla has been looking for ways to express his anger, and he found it through music. Since his teenage years, he has been writing and performing music and was later on discovered for his level of quality and compelling storytelling.

In 2019, his quality-driven artistry and dense flows were recognized when he won the Best New Artist at the Philly Hip-hop Awards. For him, it was a validation of all of his hard work throughout his years of practicing, writing, and developing his craft. But more importantly, it was a time to reflect and humble himself that if it were not for the people who helped him to get to where he is now, it wouldn’t be possible.

For his fans who are wondering what’s up with him nowadays, he is cooking something really good. His music can be heard on the soundtrack for the upcoming feature film THE KARMA EFFECT, coming late this year. Rulla is also set for his upcoming release and is currently working with Grammy award-winning producer Carvin Haggins and a few local producers for this upcoming album project. Although everyone is hoping to hear more from him, there is more to come from this hip hop prodigy.

Throughout many years, the Philly hip hop scene has been bright so far. Many artists have paid homage to the city, yet none of them have truly been able to make a lasting mark on the game. This is what makes him a truly rising star to watch out for. However, he is even more poised to go beyond just Philly and becoming one of hip-hop’s biggest stars. On the heels of his success, the rap scene is excited to hear his new album.

In this upcoming album, the Philly rapper steps not only out of his comfort zone but making this a career-defining album. For sure, this debut album will help pave the way for his legacy.
