Enter Flamagra – a work that sweeps up every quantum advance and creative leap of the last dozen years of Lotus’ career and takes them even further; the Warp release encompasses hip-hop, funk, soul, jazz, global dance music, tribal poly-rhythms, IDM, the L.A. Beat scene, but it soars above a specific vortex whose coordinates can’t be accurately charted. Other than to say that it is a Flying Lotus record, perhaps the definitive one. An astral afro-futurist masterpiece of deep soul, cosmic dust, and startling originality.

Tycho Shares New Track “Easy” & Teases New LP
“My journey as an artist has been defined by an iterative cycle with each album building on and refining an overarching vision,” continues Hansen. “‘Easy’ is about coming to terms with my past and defining a clear vision moving forward. It’s a comforting voice that reminds you not to get so lost in the work, but to take it easy and enjoy the ride. ‘Easy’ is the bridge to the future.”The upcoming LP will be their first release with Mom + Pop Music and Ninja Tune.
“Past is Prologue,” Hansen says. “DIVE, AWAKE, and EPOCH were all released by Ghostly International, the label I have been with since 2006. The past 13 years have seen Tycho evolve from the part-time solo project of a graphic designer into a band that achieved things far beyond any of our wildest expectations. The people at Ghostly have been there every step of the way to support my vision and for that I am forever grateful. I couldn’t be more excited to share that Tycho has signed with Mom + Pop and Ninja Tune as label partners for the next album release. While it is bittersweet to see such a meaningful chapter in this story end, it is just the beginning of another.”Listen to the track below:

Blackpink Delivers Stellar Performance @ Coachella 2019
Watch Aphex Twin Perform In NYC
He went on around 11 PM last night and played a 90 minute set with an awesomely trippy light show that included stuff from the ’90s up through his most recent album, Syro, and unreleased material. The crowd was very into it, and part of Aphex Twin’s visuals included projecting audience members’ faces onto the video monitors on stage. Sensory overload. Richard D James didn’t say a word the whole night, not that anyone expected him to, but he did come back right after his intense set to give the crowd a thumbs up.Click HERE to see footage of the performance.

— Coachella (@coachella) April 13, 2019Geddy Lee Joins Claypool Lennon Delirium For The Beatles Classic “Tomorrow Never Knows”
Last night was a pinnacle moment for this Ol’ Colonel’s career. My dear friend and childhood superhero #GeddyLee decided to join The Delirium onstage in Toronto for our rendition of Sean’s Dad’s, “Tomorrow Never Knows”. As Geddy slinked out of the shadows with my Pachyderm bass in his mighty grips, the crowd slowly swelled to a frenzy of recognition. The energy and excitement was so palatable that it brought a joyful tear to my eye. Like Joe DiMaggio stepping back up to the plate, Geddy proceeded to show us all why he is one of the greatest to ever wield a four string piece of furniture. It was pure magic and I imagine I’ll feel the tingle on the back of my neck for some time. Alas, our recording equipment went on the fritz so it will only live in our minds…and on the handful of cellphones that were fortunate enough to capture the glory. Good times. – Les Claypool
Tame Impala Drops New Single “Borderline”
Music Industry Weekly Featured Artist: Rising Star Linards Zarins
Linards Zarins is a Latvian-born, Spanish-based singer and songwriter whose mix of pop and R&B vocals has led him to grow a sizable and engaged fanbase.
He has capitalized off his success through a slew of widely acclaimed covers of international superstars such as Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Mabel, Justin Bieber, and more. As he began to organically grow his following on Instagram, his online presence gained the attention of producers, other artists, and A&R executives who wanted to work with him, feature him on their tracks/songs, collaborate with him as a singer, etc. Linards said that it wasn’t something that he was searching for at the time, but then decided to write and release his own music. Now he is on the list of emerging artists to look out for!
Check out one of Linards’ recent posts on his social media platform covering The Chainsmokers, “This Feeling” that accumulated over 6 million views and counting:
Linards consistently uploads videos and content to Instagram, interacting with his fans, and collaborating with artists around the world which led to a massive spike interest in his music on a global scale, gaining 150k in one month alone.
He is currently working with Danish Platinum selling-producer and songwriter Daniel Calvin for his upcoming music whom Linards credits as a huge influence to his musical taste. After years of carving his own musical style, Linards is preparing to release his debut single to the world, ‘Good Thing’, which underlies the growth and maturation that Linards has gone through over recent years. His distinct sound eclectically samples elements of urban, pop, latin, electric, and dance music that carve a chill yet upbeat atmosphere for listeners.
In Linards Zarins’ debut single ‘Good Thing’, the rising singer lays his heart on the table and reflects on the array of emotions that were felt in his past relationships. As with all intimate connections, there are moments of pure happiness and bliss, times of soul-crushing stress and sadness, and all of the passion, pride, and excitement in between. He encouraged his fans by sharing this underlying message, “Despite all the emotional turmoil that comes in relationships, we need to keep going no matter how down we feel because with every low comes a high in the future, that is just how the universe works.” Ultimately, what Zarins shares in ‘Good Thing’ is how the painful lessons learned from past relationships prepares us for the beauty that will blossom from those awaiting us in the near future.
