Christian Nelson: A Radio and Broadcasting Star on the Rise

At only 14 years old, Christian Nelson landed an opportunity for radio and broadcasting at Nathan Hale High School. This incredible experience opened new doors for him and helped him realize his passion for the radio and broadcasting industry. At present, the 20-year-old is quickly rising to the top as a radio broadcaster.

Growing up in a small town in Washington State, Christian Nelson had a big drive and ambitious personality when it comes to his goals. When he was 14, he moved to Seattle, where he first had his radio break in high school. This was the beginning of his career in the radio and broadcasting arena.

The experience he gained from working at the radio station C89.5 was limitless. He co-hosted morning shows and ran his segments. He also mixed different musical tracks and broadcasted them from concerts. He recorded hundreds of promotions, news stories, traffic updates, weather updates, and more. Through his work, he had the chance to meet many famous artists. Christian Nelson also received two very fulfilling awards from the state of Washington by virtue of his work.

His work at the radio station greatly helped his personal growth. It also taught him the power of putting passion in whatever he sets his mind to accomplish his dreams and aspirations. At this time, Christian Nelson knew he made his family proud. He was also confident that his late father, a local actor who passed away when he was 11 years old from a battle against addiction, was proud of his accomplishments.

Christian Nelson’s father is a strong driving force in his progress in life. He reminds himself that his father’s spirit never leaves his side and is consistently guiding him toward a brighter future. For him, his break in the radio industry was only the beginning of something much more significant. With his hard work, determination, and passion, he is on his way to greater success.

Aside from dominating the radio and broadcasting industry, Christian Nelson also aspires to take on many more roles in life. The rising broadcaster seeks to become an entrepreneur and music producer. He also hopes to host his podcast and become a YouTube content creator. He also hopes to use his voice for greater causes as a motivational speaker and voiceover artist.

The maturity and unique mentality of this promising radio star set him apart from others. Between 16 and 18 years old, Christian Nelson was already financially independent from his parents as he took on a managerial job. With this experience, he deeply understands the value of hard work and hard-earned money. Working at an early age molded him to become more practical and mature in making life decisions.

Today, he is on a mission to use his voice in helping spread positivity all over the world and become the person God has set him to be. With patience and understanding, he hopes to overcome whatever obstacles coming his way as he chases after his dreams. There is no backing down for Christian Nelson. After Countless Years of Working With the Greats, John Heinrich is a Multi-talented Musician Looking to Produce New Music

Any respectable singer or songwriter is well-aware of who John Heinrich is within the industry. He has worked with the most popular musical figures and legends of the music industry. Not to mention, he has also mastered multiple instruments over the course of his musical career.

Heinrich is a professional musician that plays the Saxophone, Pedal Steel Guitar, Dobro, Flute, Lap Steel, Clarinet, Oboe, and English Horn, and many more. Nowadays, he enjoys playing Steel & Sax with Ronnie Milsap, who is an American Country music legend. They performed together on the Jimmy Fallon Show in February of 2019.

Heinrich has performed live with the likes of legends such as TG Sheppard and Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees in Hollywood, Florida. With his many talents, he also played as the Horn section Leader and Tenor Sax for American R&B, soul, and gospel singer Percy Sledge back in 2009. For Nokie Edwards’ CD project, ‘The Golden Fingers of Nokie Edwards’ Henrich played the Soprano Sax, which means he is a master of the sax. It goes without saying that he’s had multiple collaborations where he played the Saxophone. He played the Saxophone in a project that featured multiple solos by the guitarist of the famous rock band Toto, Steve Lukather.

Heinrich’s career has been full of amazing performances and sessions that he has enjoyed, but he always brings back that moment where he played for Jack Clement featuring Louis Armstrong. During this time, he also worked with Wayne Jackson in the ‘Memphis Horns.’ Within his own community in Nashville, he was popularly known as a Steel player, where he worked on various projects with artists such as Glen Campbell, Merle Haggard, and Crystal Gayle.

The list goes on with the popular artists that Heinrich has worked with, in 1991 he played for Hank Williams Jr. on his ‘Lone Wolf Tour.’ He also performed at a live gig with Peter Noonan of Herman’s Hermits. He doesn’t only play instruments for other musicians, Heinrich also produces music for them. He has worked with musicians from Nashville and all over the world, doing love recording sessions with a full group of musicians. Heinrich also overdubs already recorded tracks with whatever instrument they need to add.

As a music producer, Heinrich works closely with the artist and makes sure that they have everything they need before going to the studio and start recording. He is an all-around guy, working out a budget of the services with ease, Heinrich makes sure there are no unnecessary burdens that arise when the music-making process begins. Heinrich owns two music publishing companies, one in ASCAP and the other in BMI.

Currently, he is seeking talented artists within Nashville to produce a brand-new record, be it 70s or 80s Pop, New Country, Indie Alternative, R&B, and Soul Music, but it doesn’t have to be limited to these, a good song with a particularly strong melody will suffice. In 2020 alone, Heinrich has produced three talented artists, and he is looking forward to working with more talented artists within the industry.

Singers and songwriters who are looking for an opportunity to work with the legendary musician John Heinrich should drop by his website and give it a look.

While the Music Industry Sleeps, Indie Artist Ryan Hagan Rises on the Charts

Not everyone has heard of Ryan Hagan yet, but they soon will.

While the music industry is pressing pause on tours, calling off awards shows and postponing music festivals, Hagan enters. A freshman, independent artist, and songwriter from Nashville, TN, Ryan is taking the international music scene by storm at a surprising time.

Hagan’s early success as a self-published, independent artist led him to make major connections. In 2019, Ryan caught the eye of industry powerhouse Kim Wood Sandusky, known for her vocal coaching and production work with Beyonce Knowles and Destiny’s Child. Soon after taking Ryan on, Kim connected him to Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum producer and songwriter Bryan Todd.  Hagan and Todd hit it off and co-wrote Hagan’s latest single “You Deserve Better.”

The song made the cut for radio play in the U.K. — a feat many artists never accomplish without the lobbying of powerful recording labels. Within the first few weeks of airing, people loved the song so much that it debuted on the charts, where it rose for 7 weeks straight to as high as number 7 on Music Week’s Commercial Pop Top 20, Upfront Top 30 and Black Music Top 20 respectively. To date, “You Deserve Better” has charted above A-list artists like Beyonce, Meg Thee Stallion, Drake, Ty Dolla Sign, Kanye West, and others — all as an independent release. Unsurprisingly, Hagan and Todd have re-upped on another collaboration, set to release in the Fall of 2020.

Ryan’s story is unusual for more reasons than one might think. As a teenager, Ryan would have never envisioned a future as a rising pop star. He was too busy dominating the prep sports arena. By age 15, Hagan had accumulated 5 national wrestling championships, a state wrestling title and a top 3 finish in the 200 meter dash at the state track and field competition. He also lettered in varsity football at his high school. He was well on his way to a very different path than music, entertaining offers of Division 1 athletic scholarship. But a series of devastating injuries ended his athletics career.

After hanging it up, Hagan stepped out of the public eye and decided to attend college, where he discovered his knack for songwriting. Growing up in Birmingham, AL, Ryan performed music in church and was well-known in his hometown for his vocal talent, but he had not previously considered writing his own music. Still unsure of the viability of a music career, Hagan entered the corporate workforce after completing his studies. Quietly, he continued his songwriting late into the evenings after work.

Perhaps as a stroke of luck, changes at work moved Ryan to Nashville, TN. Despite Nashville being a primarily country music town, Ryan’s pop music compositions started to catch on in the local songwriting community.  Katie Talbot, a young vocal coach and later friend of Ryan’s, was one of the first to recognize his talent. Katie introduced Ryan to her family of musicians, namely her husband, James Talbot, and brother-in-law, Andrew Talbot. Andrew would go on to co-write and co-produce Ryan’s first two singles with him, which accumulated collectively over one million streams.

Ryan’s story is, without a doubt, unique. His future during such uncertain times is unusually promising. Hagan is here to show that the lights are still on in the music business.

To know more about Ryan’s music, visit his website or follow him on Instagram. His songs are also available on Spotify.

A Shining Success from Small-Town Kansas, Piper Landon Is a Pop Star on the Rise

Piper Landon is a multi-talented singer, performer, influencer, and blogger, who grew up in a small Kansas town. She is the daughter of an inspirational top-ten recording artist, which made her grow to love music all the more.

She had her first record deal at the age of 15 and went on to star as cKenzi on the sitcom iShine Knect. Since then, she has also had many features on a variety of TV shows, movies, podcasts, and blogs. Piper has also performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Africa, making her a globally recognized musical artist in her own right.

Piper has been such an incredible breath of fresh air. A pop singer and influencer from Kansas seems like such an astounding achievement, not to mention that Piper has even managed to make it her entire career, which is pretty wild to think about. Living in the middle of nowhere while amassing hundreds of thousands of adoring fans has definitely been a highlight in her fascinating career.

With the recent release of her brand new single Tippy on the Patio, Piper has moved away from the Disney-like Pop music that she’s been known for. This brand new single feels more like Piper coming into terms with herself and blossoming into the beautiful adult that she is today.

Piper has always identified her songs as sad songs for sad people. She writes all her songs herself after all, and with every song, she writes, she makes sure to impart a piece of her in every line. With that being said, on the surface, Tippy on the Patio may seem like a regular party bop, but it has underlying elements of sensuality and broken-heartedness, which has become Piper’s signature style throughout her music career.

Piper loves what she does, and it fully shows through her music and lyrics. She sees herself more as a lyricist first and an artist second, fans of her work should always be on the lookout for what the lyrics to her songs say as each song is an honest interpretation of herself. Understanding Piper’s songs also means understanding who she is as a person. It is a clear window into her unique personality.

Piper Landon hopes that her story will inspire other people to reach for their dreams. Her story is a simple reminder that even in the middle of a small town in Kansas, big dreams can happen. It might take a lot of work and a lot of effort but reaching out for one’s dreams will always entail putting in the work.

She wants to remind people that trivial matters such as your current location shouldn’t stop anyone from wanting to achieve their dreams. Things such as age shouldn’t matter as well, as anything can happen as long as one puts their mind into it. Piper Landon is a shining example.

Danny Barros and Hitskope Music Group Gives Their Artists Massive Global Exposure

In the New England Area, there was once a man who was fundamental to the overall success of DSquared Entertainment Group. Having been established in 2006, the group has seen a lot of success and even became one of the most notable nightlife promotion companies and talent agencies in the country. That man was Boston-native Danny Barros, who’s prior experience includes negotiating and planning performances for huge celebrities in the music industry such as Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, T-Pain, and Steve Aoki.

Nowadays, Danny Barros still works in the music industry, an industry that he has been a part of for over twelve years now. With all of his knowledge and experience in the music world, he established his very own label called Hitskope Music Group, which utilizes the many talents of seasoned music industry veterans to change the game.

One of Hitskope’s biggest achievements to date is the deal that they recently signed with The Orchard by Sony Music. This important step in the company’s history has allowed it to launch their own record label division, Hitskope Records. The agreement has also given the label and its artists a huge advantage in the form of a global distribution network that is only available through Sony’s distribution arm.

It’s also important to note that Danny Barros isn’t the only one offering his talents to Hitskope. Richard Nash is also onboard, providing his insights as a thirty-year music industry executive who has helped develop the musical careers of Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes, and Keith Sweat, to name a few. Richard has also worked with major record labels such as Elektra Records, Sony Music, and Capitol Records.

Neil Collins, who is also the founder and CEO of Breaking Hits Inc., a top music rating platform, is also part of Hitskope and offers his knowledge and skills to the label. Hitskope Records is a one-stop-shop, full record label experience for many of its budding artists.

Hitskope Music Group focuses on signing independent artists from genres ranging from pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Artists receive full strategic support and coaching through experiential marketing when they are under Hitskope’s wing. They make sure to make the connection with their clients is a personal one, rather than just make it a simple deal or transaction.

They represent the finest talents that the world has ever seen, representing artists like singer, songwriter, and actress Arika, who is also the star of Netflix’s hit series Westside. Hitskope also represents the Billboard-charting singer, songwriter, and producer Michael Lanza. Michael also has the ability to play multiple instruments, making him an incredibly versatile artist.

Last and most definitely not the least, they have also signed the viral YouTuber and pop star Michael Constantino who has garnered over half a billion streams on his videos and music.

Artists that are signed under Hitskope Music Group do not need to worry about protecting their interests, because the label itself shares those same interests. They are committed to giving their artists the highest level of attention. Hitskope only offers the utmost level of integrity, loyalty, and transparency to their clients.

With Danny Barros at the helm of Hitskope Music Group, it is bound to gain a lot more success over the years. As they elevate the careers of their own artists, so will the exposure for Hitskope Music Group. This ecosystem of growth fosters a positive relationship among the label and all of its executives, as well as all of the artists that belong to the group. And that one vital thing could mean all the difference.

From Music to Films: How Ashton Segree’s Soundsight Film Production Company Came to Be

Film producer Ashton Segree spent over ten years in the music industry. Following his passion and talent for performance, he went from the music industry to the film arena and established his company Soundsight. This black-owned entertainment industry hub stands today as one of the most promising film production companies in Philadelphia, and Los Angeles designed to create meaningful stories and spark change.

Growing up, Ashton’s passion for performing arts was undeniable. Originally from Pittsburgh and born to parents who worked with August Wilson at the Pittsburgh Public Theater and Fred Rogers at WQED TV, as well as for other various arts organizations, his love for performing arts was innate. In college (Duquesne), he gained class credit with the Comm Department Internship Program while handling two music companies. At the same time, he performed, toured with many artists, and came up with rappers such as Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller as the Pittsburgh music scene grew.

In the summer of 2012, he was accepted in the music department of the prestigious Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in Los Angeles. Shortly after that, he realized that he wanted to work for himself instead of working for others. He then went on to establish his own booking agency, Enabler Talent Associates (ETA). For many years, he traveled on the road, developed music, and performed with independent artists. This developed his craft in the entertainment industry.

As time went by, Ashton slowly felt that he was getting burned out by the music scene. He was working on the business side for many artists’ careers, helping them reach their goals and was neglecting his performing voice screaming inside. The undeniable toxic energy from the incessant noise in the industry was killing his passion. He no longer felt the growth that he needed as an artist. He knew he wanted to perform and find performers and artists who did not only respect themselves but, most notably, their craft. Ultimately, he wanted to be surrounded by people whose passions were unconditional; artists who were genuinely willing to learn and perform and not merely focused on what they got for the payment.

He found what he was looking for in the film industry. The industry provided him with a sense of empathy and in-depth knowledge about the human condition which the music industry lacked. With his significant background in music, he attempted to merge the music and film industries by working with producers and engineers and helping them create movie scores and produce voice-over works and commercial tracks. It was clear to him that film and acting was the right path to take.

From there, he went on to get signed to a theatrical and a commercial agent. He began the life of auditions and was booked in many productions over the years, most notably the award-winning “Brown Paper Bag” written by Diedrich McClure, financed by artists such as Ice Cube, Spike Lee, and the late Kobe Bryant. The film was released early this year on Amazon Prime Video and gave Segree a starting platform for his career. Soon after gaining film experience and working in Hollywood, he began to see the ups and downs of working in Tinseltown. He started to see himself become a number in the crowd, which immediately made him think of ways to work without auditioning. He quickly went to the drawing board and created a team, and with the business skeleton of his music company in college and booking agency, he established his company, Soundsight. His intention: to create a Hollywood that would feature real positivity that the Hollywood of present seemed to have lost. The goal of the company is to make socially relevant and thought-provoking content that would spark significant discussion and prompt change in a positive direction.

With a dedication to education, Soundsight works with universities from Penn State, Temple, Roman, and Drexel for student internships. In their most recent effort to advance its mission on education, the company is showing its support to the black community through the BLM movement. The ultimate goal is to create two impactful films that would share the voices and stories surrounding the black community in Philadelphia. A GoFundMe page has been created to make these projects possible. The funds will be distributed to the BLM Foundation and Soundsight for the production of the films.

With the power of film, Soundsight will advance relevant socio-political issues that seek to spark real change not just in the film industry but also in society.

JoeCat’s Vision, a Songwriter with a Vendetta, Is Changing the Music Industry for Artists

Life does not always go according to plan. There is always an unexpected factor that may lead the person to potentially better outcomes. Joseph Reyna looked at the future and saw himself dancing professionally. It was fitting, given his talent and passion for dance. However, fate had other plans, and he later would come to realize that despite his enthusiasm for dance, there was a better path waiting for him to take it.

With a knack for rhyming words, he ventured into songwriting and flourished in it. His years of experience in working as a DJ, coupled with his rhyming ability, allowed him to write meaningful lyrics and match the corresponding song keys. He correlates emotions with colors and song keys in songwriting, and the whole endeavor becomes an art that goes beyond purely auditory for him.

His songwriting skill later would take him further than his dance did. His song Where The Party At has amassed over 26,500,000 plays on YouTube and millions of plays throughout Russia as well. He wrote songs with major hip-hop artists, and his music would eventually be heard all over the US as well. In 2014, he had his first TV placement on MTV.

With records featuring major artists such as Trill Sammy, Mark Battles, Zak Downtown, and Rockie Fresh, as well as holding onto higher-profile collaborations, JoeCat’s Spotify follower count is rising by leaps and bounds.

Despite his overwhelming success as a musician, it still was not his true calling. A later day would bring him the realization that he had a deep passion for marketing and an ability to grow brands better than his own.

Primarily in hopes of elevating the meaning behind today’s music, he created the iDream Music Label and Publishing Company in 2008. He strives to change the fundamentals of how the music industry operates, and he wants to develop an algorithm to protect artists from getting scammed and taken advantage of. Laws and technology to compensate artists fairly still have not caught up to the modern streaming era.

Armed with the knowledge and resources necessary to execute his vision for the future of artists in the industry, he continues to make sure artists and songwriters are fairly compensated for their skill, while at the same time giving them the freedom to express themselves through music.

Fair compensation has been a long-standing issue in the music industry. Songwriters get less than half of the total royalties from songs they create, while company executives enjoy taking major percentages of the profit. To combat this, JoeCat makes sure to write songs with and for artists.

Currently, he is booking keynotes, speaking about the implications of the creative industry in changing the corporate landscape. At the same time, he wants to develop technology as a security engineer consultant.

“I am more open to helping other upcoming artists because in my experience, I’ve watched a few artists whom I had the opportunity to work with really blow up, but I dismissed the artist and passed,” shares JoeCat. You can always discover your passions in the process of helping others or trying new things. If you want to change the world, contributions that can benefit society as a whole are much more valuable than any other self-serving goals.”

This perspective seems to be a recurring theme in his life. If he were to impart wisdom on those looking to him for inspiration, this would be it.

Listen to JoeCat’s music on Spotify and visit his website to learn more about him and his projects.
