Music Industry Weekly Featured Artist: Gem Drops First Hit Single “Lonelier”
This intellectual and dreamy indie artist showcases deep honest lyricism, sweet floating vocals, and soulful melodic pop tunes, accented with folk and EDM influences. She is set to graduate High School in June 2019, and will begin touring across the U.S. in the fall.
Gem was discovered at the age of 12 by her manager, Justin Moore of Sounds Music Group (distributed by Republic Records) when someone showed him videos of her singing various cover songs on Youtube. For the past 5 years, Gem has worked both inside and outside of the studio, honing her craft, and performing at venues such as Madison Square Garden.
Gem recently released her first single, “Lonelier” which is available here on all major digital streaming platforms. Gem is gearing up for new releases and is excited to collaborate.

New Upcoming Album Called ‘Western Stars’ By Bruce Springsteen Has Been Announced
Bruce Springsteen has a new album coming out called Western Stars. The release date is June 14, 2019.

Springsteen has been in NYC with his Broadway run, and recently posted on social media teasing art work of famous scenes out West. Clearly teasing the new album and now the name makes perfect sense.
Bruce says that “this record is a return to my solo recordings featuring character driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements. It’s “a jewel box of a record.”

Flying Lotus Releases Two New Tracks Off Next Album ‘Flamagra’
“Spontaneous” is a flirtatious ballad with Yukimi Nagano of Little Dragon singing atop a funky template. It blends perfectly with “Takashi”, a piano driven instrumental that swirls itself into a soulful cosmic jam. The track is aptly named after Takashi Yudo, an artist from the creative project teamLab. Lotus visited this visual experience in 2018, re-inspiring a creative spirit inside.You can stream the two new jams below.
