Rising Artist JoshDeanSavage Opens up About the Hardships Along the Road to a Music Career

0

The music industry has inspired countless artists to step up and showcase their voices. However, it can also be cruel, as standing out requires more than just talent. To make it out there, one would need to have connections with producers and other artists. JoshDeanSavage is one of the rising stars in the hip-hop industry who has been making his breakthrough.

Before his venture into the music industry, JoshDeanSavage, whose real name is Joshua West, was like any other music enthusiast who grew up in a small town called Grand Junction, Colorado. Living in an unstable home and an unpredictable family, West began traveling the country and saw everything, from California to New York. Eventually, he settled into Buffalo, New York, between 2015 – 2016 with his best friend Sierra Garcia, who he calls a sister. It was also during that time that West started writing music.

When he finally turned 18, West got his own apartment in the city. He used his newfound independence to attend a Juice Wrld concert, and the experience proved to be a spiritual one as it shifted his entire perspective on music. In that same concert, he met HefeBossup, who West personally looks up to as a mentor. Not long after, West’s sisters arrived from Colorado to inspire him to make more music and encouraged him to pursue a musical career.

Life seemed to be falling into place for the aspiring artists, but things went awry in New York when life questioned West’s stability once again. Overwhelmed, he gave in and moved to Utah for nursing school. There he found a friend in Mac Lee, who also made music under the stage name MacLeeMadelt. They were introduced through their mutual friend Dre Taylor. Together with Mac Lee, they created a song called 4Score.

Since then, West has adopted the stage name JoshDeanSavage and has been residing in Denver, Colorado, where he records at Side3Studios. The studio is renowned for welcoming established names today like 21 Savage, Post Malone, B.O.B., Trippie Redd, LilTjay, Travis Barker, Ed Sheeran much more. JoshDeanSavagereleased songs like “Veto,” “Make You Famous,” and “Stayed One,” which got a total of 14k streams. He was able to get under the spotlight thanks to his friend and sound engineer Ryan Alan, best known as KingRyTheFirst, who also worked closely with Post Malone and several other big-name artists.

As an artist, JoshDeanSavage has a unique ability to connect with his audience. Despite still making his way to the top, he has many friends who can relate to his music for his sincerity and genuine lyrics. While he is closing in on his dream, JoshDeanSavage still struggles as he feels that a part of his past is still clinging and dragging him down. There are days when he feels he’s killed his old self, but there are also days when JoshDeanSavage feels he’s still stuck. For the most part, he has changed his life for the better and is doing well, but there are times when the fear of reverting to his worst side flares up.

JoshDeanSavage is still hoping and working to find himself in Los Angeles, creating music, helping the community, inspiring others to seek mental health, and connecting with others. For now, he is still on his way there.

Throughout the many changing seasons in Jlynn’s life, it was music that saved her from the pain of being abandoned by her mother at the young age of eight, experiencing the hopelessness of being homeless, and struggling to survive on the streets. Forced to fend for herself even as she grew up in one foster home after another, she realized early on that life meant serious business and that it is difficult to navigate through it alone. Determined to follow the path that music laid out for her, she is now using her gift to reach out to millions of people around the world who have ever been abandoned, lived in fear, and struggled with hopelessness.

Even as a young girl, Jlynn has always been fond of singing. It came naturally for her, and it lifted her spirits in ways she never imagined possible. No matter what she would be doing, music was her constant companion. Regardless of the state of her feelings in life, she always turned to music for comfort, healing, and hope. Knowing that she could not always rely on other people for the kind of emotional healing that she sought, Jlynn found love and safety in music.

“Music is my passion, it has saved my life on many occasions growing up facing major challenges and sorrows. Music has helped me through my hardships, and I wanted to be able to help others with my gift,” Jlynn reveals.

The Arizona-based pop singer looks up to several big names in the music industry as her source of inspiration whenever times get tough. She is especially drawn to the musical stylings of Sia, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Halsey, and King Princess, all independent women with powerful voices, remarkable songwriting skills, and superb creativity.

Jlynn has performed in over 30 shows throughout her music career, some of which were her own, while she opened for different artists in others. She has done front acts for Crooked I, Lyfe Jennings, Paul Wall, and Kirko Bangz, to mention a few.

She launched her debut single on YouTube titled “Down” on August 17, 2019. This 2020 proved to be a promising year for the rising artist despite the world crisis as she released her debut album called Jlynn Unveiled. As a diverse songwriter, Jlynn shares raw emotions that her fans can easily relate to. She mostly writes about her personal hardships, hurts, and how she has battled with them. In doing this, Jlynn hopes to bring healing and inspiration to those who are going through the same dilemma.

She hopes to continue to share her challenging and inspiring life stories, to show people that despite the many adversities of life, they can always choose to pursue their dreams, live a life with purpose, and be happy. By using her own pain depicted in her music to connect with her fans, she aspires to help them overcome theirs. For Jlynn, life is too short and precious to be wasting away in regret and anger because of how people hurt her in the past. With a heart filled with gratitude and a dream fuelled by her deep love for music, she is ready to become the star she is destined to be.

Up and coming Australian artist in Paris – promising future in the USA

0

For a majority of artists, regardless of their genre, until they gain widespread exposure and recognition in the American market, they haven’t really made it. For French-Australian artist Audie B, however, “making it” is less important than making the right music and with the right people.

One of these right people happens to include West Coast rapper, the Game, whose interest was piqued by Audie B’s unique style and catchy sound. The Game, signed under Dr. Dre’s Aftermath, wanted to collaborate with Audie B for his newest mixtape. This collaboration marks one of the biggest breakthroughs in Audie B’s career.

“Back in the Game was the first song I released in 2018, so it is really exciting to have it on his newest mixtape. I have great admiration for the Game so  I’m really excited about this collaboration,” Audie B said.

The coronavirus pandemic has meant a tough year for musicians. For Audie B, who hasn’t been able to travel from her home base in Paris since the virus hit early this year, the focus has been on refining her sound and technique, developing the right partnerships, performing live concerts on various platforms such as Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube etc…, and of course working on new tracks for her fans, whilst waiting for the day she can once again perform on stage.

“I want rap and music to be the main focus of what I do….but I used to be a professional dancer so dance is something that I still love and that is very much a part of my artistry.” Audie B said.

How did Audie B get started? Somewhat serendipitously.

“I started out spontaneously rapping at parties and singing back-to-back Eminem verses,” Audie B said. “I’ve always been a dancer & so loved music, but I never really thought that it would lead me to where I am now. Growing up I used to listen to so many different musical styles, from old school rap to etta james and erykah badu. I started dabbling in songwriting when I was working on cruise ships, inspired to write about my travelling experiences.”

Whilst the collaboration with The Game is a major milestone in her career, Audie B hinted that it wouldn’t be the only high-profile up and coming collaboration.

“I have another collab[oration] coming up with a big American artist, though I can’t yet say who that is,” Audie B said.

Audie B’s main objective today is to combine her twin passions for dance and rap to more fully develop and expand her artistic repertoire, and in doing so share her love of music with an ever-growing audience.

Tray Milz Bringing a New Twist to the Music Industry

0

It seems like a challenge for some artists to find their way to the spotlight in a world of multi-talented people, but for Tray Milz, his undeniable passion for music makes him an exception.

Trayron Lennoris Milton Jr., popularly known as Tray Milz, is a singer-songwriter, actor, and upcoming model from Savannah, Georgia. He is also a college student at the Georgia Southern University.

Tray’s musical journey is not an overnight success story but rather a tale of unfaltering passion and determination. His love for all areas of entertainment has been evident ever since he was a child.

At 14, he went on tour with Mindless Behaviour and OMG Girlz group as a backup dancer. He also modeled on the New York Fashion Week runway and was spotted in a  few movies.

Now a music prodigy at 21 years old, Tray is no stranger to the entertainment business. He explores his passion further as he draws his inspiration from accomplished pop icons the likes of Chris Brown, Usher, and Trey Songz. The young singer/songwriter ventures into the R&B game to bring raw, relatable, and captivating rhythm and blues to this golden age.

Dedicated to taking his career to even greater heights, Tray’s debut album 21 was released on September 25 and is already gaining numbers in view. Two singles from the album, titled “Someone Else’s Girl” and “Somebody,” feature Flau’jae. The melodic, lyrical compositions of the album established Tray as a musical explorer within the R&B landscape as he shares his deepest thoughts and emotions.

Tray’s unique artistry and showmanship is a spectacle to behold, reflecting his eclectic taste and humor. His melodic sound will tug at heartstrings, taking listeners to the pop side of R&B and staying in their heads long after they have heard them. It makes one wonder how so many catchy sounds could be coming from one person’s mouth.

Tray wants to make music for lovers of classic R&B and for the dreamers of the world who still believe in true love and are rooted in their emotions.

Another unique factor that Tray brings with him as a multi-talented musician is a remarkable ability to write his songs. It is all about the music for him as he strives for his compositions to have memorable melodies that yield compelling lyrics that evoke beautiful emotions in his listeners.

Tray Milz’s five-year goal is to share his music with crowds at concerts and festivals, leading them as they sing along to his songs. The young artist hopes to build his career and become an established artist, like the pop stars that inspire him.

He hopes to create music that will actualize his dream as an acclaimed singer, impact, and make a difference in his audience’s lives worldwide.

The Healing Power of Music: ArkType Makes Songs to Support Mental Health

0

Mental health takes center stage as the most talked about topic in today’s generation. It has become a major theme in popular culture, particularly in music. As our society becomes open-minded in tackling mental health as a social issue, many musicians continue to break down the stigma. Through music, artists have found a way to foster awareness and acceptance on issues such as depression, anxiety, and grief. For multi-genre duo band ArkType, mental health conversations take place not only in their interviews but also in their songs.

In 2018, leadman Jason Bischoff and drummer Isaac Steven decided to create good music that doesn’t fit in a box. Both hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, the duo wants their songs to be embedded with valuable messages like depression and mental illness, which are rarely tackled. Throughout their discography, the band never fails to put importance on the issue of mental health. In every song, one message stays clear: life can be hard, painful, and traumatic, but there is always a reason to stay alive. This is the message the duo wants to instill in their listeners.

Fast forward to today, the songs of ArkType have reached a wider audience. In just a span of two years, they were able to organically create a loyal community of fans that prioritizes connection, fosters a sense of community, and promotes mental health awareness. Unlike many other artists out there, Jason and Isaac do not identify within one specific genre. Instead, they incorporate tons of different genres, such as rap, reggae, metal, punk, rock, classic rock, acoustic, hardcore, and EDM. It may sound unconventional; however, the duo found a way to harmonize all genres while creating their own distinct sound. “It’s fun. It never gets boring. Both Isaac and I are passionate about numerous styles of music, so we love to bring it all,” Jason remarked.

ArkType is grateful enough to have a platform where they can showcase their talents and give support to teens and young adults who are having a hard time in life. Dealing with mental health issues themselves, both have turned to songwriting and music composition as their creative outlets. In an interview, Jason said, “we want our music to feel relatable and act as a comfort, escape, and empowerment tool for people to turn to instead of turning to harmful alternatives like drugs, violence, or self-harm.”

What sets ArkType from the rest is not only their unique sound, rather the close-knit relationships they built with their fanbase. The duo knows for the fact that battling mental illness is alienating enough. In the hopes to bridge this gap, Jason and Isaac have dedicated themselves to resonate a sense of familiarity and echo a glimmer of hope in their songs to their audience. Recently, ArkType launched a new song called “Sweater Weather” which explicitly addresses seasonal depression.

As the band constantly reminds their listeners, “there are better days ahead.” Make sure to check them out on their linktree to get the latest updates from their social media accounts.

Sarah Tromley Mesmerizing Fans with New EP

0

Sarah Tromley is a native Indie pop singer based in Los Angeles. Her music inspiration comes from her life experiences and lessons. She infuses sexuality and vulnerability themes into her music while hinging the bulk of her art on authenticity and passion. At the age of 26, Sarah Tromley is an old soul when it comes to musical inspiration. She draws inspiration from artists like the late Amy Winehouse, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, Fleetwood Mac, Earth Wind & Fire, Mac Miller, and Tyler the Creator. Her foray into music started out by creating cover versions of generational musical classics. While young, Sarah Tromley is putting in work to bring back the classical music vibes while capturing both old and contemporary audiences.

Sarah Tromley has been working on releasing an EP titled “My Way Up,” scheduled for release on the 4th of December 2020. The EP features six tracks, and she recently released the first single titled “Thrills” from the EP and also released the video on YouTube and has garnered thousands of views. While her fans anticipate the official release of her EP, Sarah is also building up the momentum by connecting with her fans and introducing what each track on her EP represents.

The EP itself is centered on the theme of making different choices while remaining true to those sacrifices. “Red Wine and Chocolate” explores a bittersweet loss of a toxic relationship that was doomed from the start. Meanwhile, “In My Life” talks about moving on from someone as a better option than being comfortable in misery. Her latest single, “Thrills,” expresses being in a moment of fleeting passion that won’t last but can still be fun despite the reality. The upbeat track “One Step” delves into a non-pressurized exploration of sexuality with another woman. Finally, the track “Timeless” shows Sarah relying on someone that makes her feel safe in these very unsafe times—choosing to be with that person even when everything is crumbling around them.

“Even though my music is for everyone, I am confident that millennial pop and R&B lovers will vibe with my brand the most. My sound and those feelings connected will resonate with people in big cities and small towns.  Music is my heart, and it is my truest home. I’m so glad that this musical project gets to be shared with the world. I aspire to be a global household name,” she says. She bares herself naked with the new EP, which she has been working on for over a year.

Sarah’s five-year goal is to go on a major tour while getting the opportunity to open for some big names in the industry. She also plans to drop more singles, videos, and a full-length album in another year from the release of her EP. Sarah Tromley is willing to explore her gifts to the fullest while challenging herself to be more expressive in her songs. Outside music, she also has some acting credits to her name, such as her appearance in multiple episodes of Portlandia and one episode of Grimm.

“Higher Than the Hills” is a project that reflects growth and how she feels from the depths of her heart – something she wants her fans to experience too.

Rockstar Nova Makes a Grand Entrance in the Music Industry with Phenomenal Singles

0

Proud North Philly local Rockstar Nova is no ordinary rising music artist as he makes his grand entrance in the music industry this year with explosive songs that are making waves on various streaming platforms. Born JaVon Stukes, the Virginia-born and Philadelphia-raised music artist is using a unique and emerging music genre which he likes to call hiprock, the uncommon yet remarkable combination of Lenny Kravitz’s rock and roll stylings and the electrifying R&B influence of Chris Brown mixed with HipHop.

Early this year, Rockstar Nova kicked off 2020 with the release of his single Toxic Love under his new name. The first release was followed by the launching of 4:00 AM, Dirty Diana, I 95, Animal, and Famous. This year, he also released a couple of remixes of other songs, including Come Thru and Wake Up Dead. Despite the many challenges the world faced this 2020, Rockstar Nova couragely rebranded himself and made this a very productive season. This year, however, is only the beginning of even greater things to come as he prepares to launch an even bigger project next year called Hard Rock Life

Before rebranding himself, the passionate music artist started out as a rapper. In the early days of his rap career, he did an impressive collaboration with big names in the industry, including E. Ness, Project Pat, Chedda Da Connect, Tory Lanez, Chip, and Fetty Wap. Evolving into the artist he has now become was an exciting journey for the half-black musician. He has always believed that he was never meant to be categorized in a single genre. For him, doing this would mean limiting himself and his creativity. Instead, he chose to break free from industry standards and introduce his own genre, something that he hopes fellow artists will embrace in time.

Just like many successful music artists in this generation, Rockstar Nova remembers falling in love with music at a very early age. Exposed to the rich musical culture and heritage of Philadelphia in most parts of his life, he has a deep appreciation for various musical genres from R&B, soul, jazz, hip-hop, rock and roll, and pop music. Interestingly, he allowed himself to embrace all of these genres until he decided to take music seriously at the age of 12. In his 17th year, he found himself writing original songs while living in Tappahannock, Virginia, the hometown of popular music artist Chris Brown.

At this point in his career, Rockstar Nova is all about unraveling his innate gifts, sharing them with the world, and making an impact in doing so. As millions of people around the world continue to brave this challenging season, he hopes to inspire people to still find the time to have fun under the circumstances, to be bold, and make the most of life. These themes are also evident in his music, his personal life, and his perspective of things. And as he prepares to conquer the world stage, he will continue to work hard and stretch his creativity in order to bring phenomenal songs into the industry.

Ava Caceres: The Rising Music Artist Releases Her First Music Video to a Resounding Response

0

Ever since she was a little girl, Ava Caceres knew that she wanted two things out of life: to create art and to uplift people. She spent her school years learning as much as she could about how she could combine both of her goals into one. Ava went from acting in school plays to singing with concert choirs. Eventually, the time felt right, and she finally decided to dive into songwriting with both of her goals in mind.

Not long after she graduated high school, she got the opportunity to collaborate with the Grammy award-winning producer Damon Sharpe. Together they created Ava’s first-ever single, “Be Somebody’s.” The song is dedicated to all the people who went through heartbreak and to those that are still persevering through the pain. The song starts off with the powerful line, “I’m the one who’s broken, so why am I prayin’ that you’re okay?” signifying the love and the pain that still remain.

As Ava Caceres expresses, the most important takeaway of “Be Somebody’s” is that it is a gift to have loved and lost. “We knew this song was special, and by taking a leap of faith we decided to create a music video featuring the charismatic Bella Thorne and the charming Charlie Depew.”

The music video is set in a theater and depicts the story of love and heartbreak and the hands of circumstance. Ava’s character seemingly falls in love with Charlie as she stares at him deeply every time he speaks. However, with a sudden heel turn, the narrative reveals that Ava imagined Bella all along and that she’s in love with Bella and not Charlie. The music video climaxes in a passionate and playful scene with Ava and Bella as they acknowledge their feelings for each other, yet painfully the scene ends in heartbreak all the same.

The video itself is a work of art, as it shows the acting capabilities of Ava Caceres as well as the directing prowess of Stephen Wayne Mallett. Ava’s first music video has managed to gain a lot of buzz on social media with over 317,000 views on YouTube, and the rising star is just getting started.

For the past two years, Ava Caceres has delved into the world of songwriting taking her experiences of writing novels and short stories at a very young age. With her storytelling capabilities, Ava makes sure that she approaches her songwriting from a narrative perspective, telling stories through her music.

Ava Caceres brings a fresh approach to music with her signature storytelling style and her theater background. The two elements combined really cemented her current belief that there are stories to tell everywhere, both within and outside of ourselves. As an artist, Ava hopes to apply these stories in a transformative way for herself and for her audience worldwide.

To know more about Ava Caceres and her wonderful music, make sure to follow her on her social media pages on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter. Head on over to the Vocal Star YouTube channel to watch her music video.
